Reptile Basics Radiant Heat Panel, 80 watt for snake habitats

Been using this for one year without a hitch! Easy wiring instructions included. I didn't have any trouble with it. I appreciate the large size, even heat distribution and quality. I've recommended this to other people with snakes.

Needs clasps to hook over the top of an enclosure since it radiates heat down. I had to use hook bungee tie downs to hold it in place. Needs improvement in design, especially for the price.

This product required me to wire my own plug to the cord!! The directions were incredibly vague and when I plugged it in sparks few everywhere!! What kind of company provides a plug separate from the device!!!

You have to assemble the electrical parts yourself and the instructions are unclear and difficult to understand. I am not an electrician and I don't see any reason why it couldn't have been assembled already. Also, the seller is extremely unresponsive when called or emailed. I would not recommend buying from them.

Fast shipping. I ususally used pro products heat panels. What I like about this heat panel is the sealed design. The only observation is that the panel seems to have hot spots, whereas my pro products panels have even heat throughout. Other than that it works perfectly and keeps the cage Temps up.

Great product, so glad not to be dependent on under mount sticky pads. Been using for a month and works beautifully.

Will get the job done. Be prepared to buy another plug for it and keep it in case the one they send stops working which it probably will. The plug it comes with is un-assembled and isn't hard to put together just won't last long. I have two panels; within 6 months plugs for both needed to be replaced and they aren't under any stress other than literally just sitting there. I would suggest looking elsewhere, this is not worth it

Placed this on the ceiling of my reticulated python's 6'x2'x2' enclosure. I run it with a thermostat to make sure it doesn't get too hot. I installed it offset to one end to create a warm and cool area. It efficiently heats the entire area. If you are looking for radiant heat this is the only way to go. Super easy install and then forget it basically.
