Ironwood Typing Stand, Dixie Oak

The finished table is serviceable, but the overall product is not of the greatest quality. Some of the hardware furnished is very cheap. For example, some of the major screws would not drive into the pre-drilled holes without stripping out the heads. The drop leaf hinges are just awful. I have recently built a drop-leaf shelf with good hinges, with spring latches and they are far superior to those supplies with this table. They are very hard to fold down. Also the drop=leaf shelf is not level with the table surface when up, even though the hinges had pre-drilled holes. I guess for the price it is not too bad a table, but the overall quality is lacking.
