Built and Priced right
Been purchasing these hanging 3-ring binders for years. I like the fact that you can get them in different colors, so help as visual aids to organize their application. My only complaint is that they should be priced equally no matter the color...

Hanging files... In a binder... Brilliant!
So much to organize for family. These help with organizing & able to grab & go. One note, normal dividers won't fit so I'm using sticky notes to mark separations.

Just what we needed, but verify the size
These are being used to hold checklists/job-aids in an emergency operations center. The are housed in mobile file carts and turned out to be just the right size. I ordered an alternate brand with the hard covers and clear-view front and they were too long. We currently have a total of about thirty in service in four different colors. Once we figured out that the hanging tabs had to be pushed in to open the binder rings, we haven't had any issues. I have more on order.

THE hanging binder for MOST file cabinets - UPDATED on how to make sure they open easily
Another reviewer could have saved herself a lot of hassle if she had ready my review, LOL, so I will put the info she needed at the TOP of my review for anyone else in the same situation! If you cannot open the rings easily, MAKE SURE THE HANGING TABS ARE PUSHED IN! That's all you need to do, and they will pop right open! when they arrive, also check to make sure that the plastic clear window is properly attached and that the little cardboard insert is in there. Visually inspect for cracks in the poly cover. Make sure the hooks pull out to the right distance and that they hang nicely in your drawer. If you do those things, immediately, you can spot problems and return them for a refund or a replacement. Ok, now for the official review: I have had a number of these over the years, and really like them: + when I generate labels with the computer, they look really sharp and the spine window is large and easy to read in the file drawer. + these are great for keeping things handy in a desk file drawer - current paper-based address book that you can update easily, organizing statements/bills for quick reference, household planner/organizer, medical/health records for family members and pets, organization for projects, executor instructions, travel planner, etc. + I continue to buy them as I haven't found another brand that will actually HANG from the rails of my various types of file cabinets. Other brands are too deep, so they just sit on the floor of the cabinet. And with hanging binders with inflexible covers, I find that I often cannot shut the file drawer as well. If you have a "bottomless" file drawer, other brands may work for you. They are not without problems, though. Problem 1: They can crack/tear over time typically at a fold, or when dropped - and that is why I am buying a replacement. Solution: Just be gentle. Don't drop it. Don't bend it back on itself. Problem 2: I have also had trouble with the ring mechanism, and noted that others have also had this problem. Sometimes the rings refused to open, permanently. Solution: I have since tried to be very careful to NOT try to open the rings when the hanging tabs are not FULLY pressed in. I don't know if this is the "secret" or not, but I have not had any more issues with the rings since making that change. Problem 3: As others have pointed out, index dividers stick out unattractively and may drag on the bottom of your file drawer. Solutions: You can still have dividers: I find that there is plenty of room in the file cabinet for TOP dividers like the flexible "rulers" that come with organizers that easily "peel and press" into place. --I have one from a DayTimer brand Binder that I re-use. It says "Today" on it. --You can color code/write on labels with these top-edge dividers: AVERY Snap-in Plastic Bookmark Dividers, 5 Assorted Design Tabs, White Labels, 1 Set (24909), 8-1/2" x 11" which I saw here on Amazon. I haven't seen much in the way of 3-ring divider bookmarks or tabs that go across the top of the page either on Amazon or on Etsy (in standard 3-ring letter size). (Do I smell a niche market?) --Sometimes I just use a post-it note as a divider, as I have noticed others mention. --Or I use a paper clip or binder clip to keep sections together. Depends on how frequently I need to access the binder. --Bottomless file drawers, plus not caring if the dividers stick out

I love these for keeping my school work organized
I love these for keeping my school work organized. It's so hard to find these anywhere. Not even Staples keeps them in stock in the store. They are a little bit pricey, but well worth it if you are looking for a hanging binder. These are great quality and the clips to hang them are very sturdy but still easy to open and close.
