Our Dyson head died due to water damage, my fault I know. Seeing as the model we have an older one, the price of a new Dyson head was not worth it. You cannot beat this price and it works great! The suction is fantastic on carpet and the head light function is a nice touch and helps to see under furniture. Easy to maneuver. Overall would buy again.

it fit and work perfect with my Dyson v6 plus the light is a great upgrade to it. Old one was no longer rolling I though of buying a motor replacement but this is so much better. very happy with this purchase!!!!

My second vacuum head gave out on me when the hose popped loose. I stuffed it back in, but don't trust it. I was glad to see someone finally put a light on the vac head, since I had modified mine to hold a small flashlight with a broom holder clip. With the late afternoon sun streaming across my tile floor, I notice every speck of dust shows up, and I can zero in on it. Now, I'm sold on the light addition feature. This new vac head is 2" wider than my OEM Dyson V6 Slim, and has a soft roller head instead of my old roller brush. It picks up just as good on my tile floors, if not better. I have a few scatter rugs, and it works well on the low pile rugs, but the thick pile rug, almost like a shag rug, bogs down the motor, and the light and head motor temporarily shut off. Turning the vacuum off and back on restores the light and motor. I have already upgraded my battery, and the addition of the LED lights hasn't caused any performance problems on the length of time operation. With my 21.6V, 3000mAh, 65Wh battery – bought on Amazon – my Dyson ran 30 minutes before the battery gave out. Plenty of time to vacuum my single floor home. I’ve noticed the new vac head will fishtail when the motor is close to the floor, as when vacuuming under a bed, but better control when normal upright cleaning. A nice replacement. Update - 5/11/2022: My vac head started making thumping noises while pushing. Examining the rollers, I found they are made of plastic, and covered with felt, and the felt is wearing off in places - (shown in the 2nd picture), causing the noise. Very cheap construction. There are also felt pads at each end of the roller, and it is only a matter of time before they will wear off. I'm taking off one star for this problem.

Perfect for hardwood floors and flat rugs. Great quality and looks like it will last for many years. Does an excellent job with cleaning and having the led lights is a nice addition.

Works great on hard flooring but doesn't appear to have enough suction for carpet.

This is an amazing attachment for vinyl surface cleaning.

First thing that I noticed was when I pushed the vac with this attachment was that it swerves all over the place. The second (and an absolute deal breaker) is that the vacuum attachment scrapes on the floor and makes the most irritating noise. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. It’s absolutely not worth even using it. I missed the return window so it’s going in the trash. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I wish I’d have just paid the money for a Dyson.

Like the title says, I was very hesitant. Buying anything other than part for the manufacturer kind of scares me. But with how easy Amazon returns are, I said, why not! I have been very happy with my choice to buy this! We have wood floors and a dog and this vacuum head light shows more hair and dust than I’d like to admit. Stuff that I couldn’t see without it. I vacuum multiple times and day and the original dyson brush heads (we’ve gone through 3) get clogged and jammed with hair. I clean them frequently but once hair gets tangled in the hardware spinners, there’s no fixing it. The spinner on this head is awesome! Especially for wood floor. (This DOES not work on any type of carpeting BTW). I’d even go as far as saying I like it better then the dyson head! It picks up better, has more power, and has a light that shows EVERYTHING for cheap. Again, this only works on hard floors. I tried using it in my rug and the spinner just stops then returns to normal when I move it back to wood floor.
