Five Star PBW Tablets - 10g 40ct - Buffered Alkaline Detergent

First time buying/using this product. Does not fit small fermenter easily, but so far, seems to work and clean well once crushed.

Great value and easy to use!

Look, they work, they are exactly what they are advertised as, but the powder works way better for cold water. I usually fill up kegs with cold water and powder then pressure fill the dip tube and let sit over night. With the tabs, they don't dissolve for a long time, so you have to either crush up 5 tabs, which is very hard because they're super firm to stay together in the container, or you have to put the tabs in, fill with water, then perhaps hours later, come back and circulate what you are trying to clean, such as dip tube and tubing or lines. These being tabs just added time to my cleaning tasks either crushing or waiting for it to dissolve.

Just as expected a great product in tablets

I had an old keg from a brewery that went out of business 10 tears ago. Now that I'm into homebrewing, I wanted to see if I could use this old keg. When I opened it, it was really nasty. Filled it with hot water and dropped in 5 tablets - I wasn't expecting it to foam up. Let it soak for an hour and then did it again. I had also purchased a carboy cleaning brush for a drill, so I went over the inside of the keg and it looks like new. Very happy with purchase.
