Legendary Whitetails Women's Water Resistant Anchorage Parka Winter Coat with Removable Hood

Really nice jacket. Very warm, great quality materials, super soft fleece inside, sleeves and lower body lining fabric is smooth and won’t stick to your clothes. I will say that I ordered two sizes because I wanted it big enough to just toss on over whatever layers I’m wearing. I’m 5’7”, a bit heavier than I’d like, size M/L in tops and size 12/14 in pants. The difference between the L and XL is very significant. The L is perfect on me and super comfortable when I’m wearing a shirt or thin sweater but a bit tight with a thicker sweatshirt or another layer under. The XL, however, is huge. It had like 2-3 extra inches on each side of my body and really looked way too big on me. I did like that it was a little longer, but I just couldn’t deal with how much too big it was. Even though it has a waist cinch, it only cinches the front side of the coat (the elastic cord doesn’t go around the back, but is sewn into the side seams) and so I had to cinch it so much it looked ridiculous from the front. I ended up going with the large, which is a little annoying because I can’t just throw it on over whatever to go walk the dogs. But it’s warm enough that it’s fine.

I read the previous reviews and most are wrong about this coat. This is a lightweight coat, definitely wind proof. 7 pockets, 5 have zippers and 2 have snap closures. Previous reviews stated none. Incorrect. Excellent closure for pockets. I took off the zip off hood. I hate hoodies. Will wear with a cashmere scarf, and hat. This coat is very soft and bendable. Easy to move around in. Doesn’t feel heavy or constricting. I love it. Definitely wind proof. As far as water resistance, I have been unable to test so far as I live in the southwest desert and we have no rain. Taking this coat to the highlands of Scotland late fall. Bought it specifically for this trip. Longer than I expected but at 5’2” it covers my butt and thighs, so that’s ok. I got the khaki color in extra large. So I can layer with multiple layers of thin cotton, cashmere. Has adjustable tabs inside to fit the waist. Making it more fitted, shapely. Love love this coat. Super light, easy to move around in. I would recommend to all. Very happy with this purchase.

The price was really holding me back on purchasing this jacket, but after two returned I decided to go for this jacket. Every time I’d look this one kept catching my eye as “the one”. I just received it and if I could give it ten stars I definitely would. I told myself if there was the smallest thing I did not like about it, it would definitely be returned due to this being the most expensive coat I’ve ever bought. I’m 5’5” and weight 150lbs and ordered a medium and it fits like a glove. I absolutely love the length and for a thicker coat it definitely compliments a women’s shape. I ordered the army green and the color looks exactly as shown. The zipper is really sturdy and I love that it also snaps in the front. I haven’t tried it in the cold yet, but I’m very confident it’ll keep me warm! I love the outer shell, it seems like it will repel water vs. ending up with a wet jacket. Definitely not upset with what I spent on it anymore now that I’ve received it.

This is going to be niche review.I was on the hunt for a warm winter coat that wasn’t loud and swishy like most winter coats are. I know the point is probably to be water resistant but I wanted a comfortable coat that didn’t overstimulate me in the car but kept me warm on winter walks. I’m a sweatshirt girl unless absolutely necessary and we had a pretty cold winter where I’m at. I ordered this coat & another & after opening both this one was a clear winner. I kept this coat & returned the second. Now that I’ve had this coat for a month + I feel like i can confidently review.Soft, warm, comfortable & durable. My only small con would be the drawstring in the rear, it tends to get caught on things occasionally. If it became too much of a nuisance I would cut them & it wouldn’t effect the functionality of the coat.Fits true to size, I ordered a size up to be able to layer up comfortably.

Overall is a good coat, with a couple of drawbacks. Solid 3.5 stars from me.I would say it fits true to size. The sleeve length is sufficient. The fabric is softer than expected.The coat has plenty of pockets on the outside, 8 to be exact. Unfortunately it's missing some key pockets, handwarmer pockets and an inside pocket for my phone. None of the pockets are particularly comfortable for keeping your hands in and they are not warm either.When it's truly cold I like to carry my phone closer to my body to keep it from shutting off due to low temps. This coat does not have any pocket to do that.The hood is big and not adjustable in the back. So to keep it from falling in my face to the point where I can't see anything anymore I have to fold it over. The faux fur strip is not removable.I'll probably keep it but not sure that I would buy it again.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use the coat, but the coat itself is typical Legendary Whitetails quality: High.The seller immediately understood my situation and took it back no questions asked. I can highly recommend buying from them. Great experience.

I really wanted to 100% love this jacket—it’s warm, stylish, and fits perfectly. The material feels high-quality, even after washing multiple times, and it’s great for both casual wear and outdoor activities. However, the zipper was a major disappointment. After only a few wears, it completely fell off.For the price, I expected better durability. If the manufacturer improves the zipper quality, this would easily be a five-star product. Until then, be prepared to replace the zipper yourself.

This coat was exactly what I needed on this year’s cold Georgia mornings. Even when the temperatures were in the teens I was warm. It has numerous pockets lots more then I need but perhaps that would appeal to some. The pockets are deep too. I love the length. Longer than my old coat. There are snaps over the front zipper to keep rain out and the warmth in. Very pleased!
