Q: Can I use this net cover without a solid pool cover. I just need a leave catcher... We don't cover pool during the winter.

Yes!! That's what I do. I actually use two. The first one lays across the pool, touched the water. The second I get a size smaller and run a wire from end to end, my pool is forty foot long. I stretch it from front to back and side to side using stakes in the ground around the pool. While the leaves are falling many just blow across as the top net is not touching the water. After all the leaves have falling, usually end of nov I will then mulch up all the leaves in my yard, and then take the top cover off and scoop up and leaves that got under the top cover. I leave my pool open during the winter. I have done this for the last several years and it works great. No need to daily scooping leaves off the cover until they all fall. Works for me. And these covers are pretty good for the price. Small netting too.

Q: Does it now come with straps to hold water bags?

yes is does. I put mine up on poles over my above the ground pool to keep out leaves all year long. works great

It works

It keeps the leaves off awesome. The actual pool cover was hard to put on and would pool water when it rained. We are in a subtropical area in NSW Australia, so a cover also heated our pool up which we don’t want or need. This is fabulous.

Works! Even when you appreciate that it is working.

We have used this net to cover a small pool during the winter. This and a solar cover is all you need in Texas. It seemed to do a good job, nothing special. Yet, after a Midwinter swim this last month, I decided to leave the net off and just use the solar top. We had a nice little storm roll through leaving branches and debris everywhere. It took a little cleanup. Little did I know that my pool had now filled up with dirt and debris. It didn't look like much on top because I had cleaned up. Once I pulled that cover off, I realized I am never going without this net again!

It's not as high quality as previous nets that I have purchased. It appears to be single stitched. But it will serve its purpose at least for a season
