Genuine Military MRE Meal with Inspection Date September 2017 or Newer (BBQ Shredded Beef)

The Genuine Military MRE Meal (BBQ Shredded Beef) exceeded my expectations for ready-to-eat emergency food. The meal was fresh and fully sealed and It’s perfect for camping, prepping, or just having on hand for emergencies.The BBQ shredded beef had a decent smoky flavor, and the texture was surprisingly tender for a packaged meal. The included side items (crackers, dessert, and condiments) added variety and made it a complete, satisfying meal. The flameless heater is easy to use, and it heated everything up quickly without the need for extra tools or a fire.It’s a bit bulky for everyday carry, but as a meal ready to go in a pinch, it delivers on convenience and taste.

It’s an MRE what do you expect but a warm meal with good snacks

I bought this item to give it a try. It was ok.

Using these for an emergency kit, I carry in my UTV.

The Julian date codes on my food are 1228 and 1237 both of those are Julian date codes for August of 2021. It's October 2024! My MRE is over 3 years old and I just received it in the mail!

I and my gf got 1 and mine is a different one but she said it was ok and not the best but I mean if you're camping or out on a long drive id get not only this one but any of them

Do not go by the picture showin you don't get what's showin in the picture. Please cut the price by half and update the photo to show one bag. (Giving the seller a chance to correct this.) But thank you anyway as even one over priced MRE makes me feel safer. It's good to have a stock pile of food that will last 50+ years. (Yes they last long this is gov. food after all xD, they just taste best if they're newer.)

The heater wouldn't heat up the package of food as instructed. We had to heat food in a pan over the fire. I threw the heater on the ground to pick up later. When I finally did it was finally got. Food was pretty good though.
