Just buy this now -I almost never need to pull out or set up my torque wrench now
Everyone who wrenches on their own bike should buy one of these. They are cheap and good insurance against over/under-tightening their bike fasteners. 5NM is about perfect for almost every small bolt on a bicycle from teh seatpost to stem/handlebar bolts. If you have carbon parts or a carbon frame this tool will pay for itself almost immediately since you never have to worry about crushing a carbon seatpost, handlebar, or steer tube and ruining an expensive part. You don't need to worry about under-tightening a part that will come lose on you in a middle of a long ride, or stripping/deforming the threads of a fastener which will cause it to come lose as well if you over-tighten it.5NM is a LOT more than you think it is with a tiny handle like this so don't juts assume this tool is broke if you don't feel a click. You have to turn it a lot harder than you think to get to the setpoint for this tool to activate, telling you it is the right torque value.I see in other reviews that people think their torque key is defective since it won't click. You just have to turn it harder. I've tested mine against my calibration tool and while it seems like it too much, the gauge tells me it is right on at 5nm.Look at the Park Tools webpage for a handy chart on torque values to see how many fasteners on your bike are at or near 5NM for a torque value.Pros:Quick and easy for all the fasteners on your bike that are 5NMComes with 4 bits to fit different size allen heads and torx.Cons:It takes a lot of hand strength (or two hands) to get to 5NM with such a tiny handle.Only does 5NM so it isn't adjustable. It's a tiny tool but isn't good for all bike torqueing jobs. You still should have a 1/4" and a 3/8" click or spar-type torque wrench if you do a lot of working on bikes. But this tool is handy to have next to your T-handle set for quick/easy/accurate torquing of the fasteners that a bike owner/mechanic needs to use the most.

Must have tool for carbon forks or seat post
I thought I knew what 5 Nm was and didn't need this tool. Wrong! After reading stories of peoples carbon forks and seat posts breaking due to over tightening, I decided to invest a few bucks into this tool as it is cheap insurance to have in case your bike manufacturer denies you warranty coverage due to "abuse" (over torquing a part).I figured I could accurately gauge what 5Nm is and when I finally got this tool I realized just how wrong I was. I wasn't even close and my forks were dangerously loose and could have given out had I had to make a high speed emergency turn as over tightening could break all carbon forks and void your bike warranty. My seat post was too tight -which can fracture and break the seat post over time... Torque wrenches this small are hard to find and your options are very limited. This cheap tool works great and easily stores in my saddle bag and is very light weight.Idiot proof. Twist it until it starts clicking -then you know it has reached the max -5Nm -which is the exact torque requirement of my fork and seat post. Money well spent. Thanks Ritchey and Amazon for a great tool at a great price!

Tighten carbon fiber bike parts without worry!
After purchasing my first ever all carbon Cervelo R3 road bike, I was having a heck of a time adjusting the saddle height without it slipping because I didn't want to over tighten the seatpost clamp. Although I was able to find the correct bike fit, the seatpost caused creaking in any movement of the frame. The creak was partly caused by the local bike shop not using any carbon fiber assembly paste/gel. But at the same time, I was super nervous about tightening the seatpost clamp which Cervelo recommended between 4Nm and 5Nm of torque. This hand little tool eased my fears and worked perfectly. The handle is a little small, but this is probably needed to be able to fit around the saddle angles. Between this and the Finish Line. Fiber Grip Gel, my bike is now creak free.

Handy, compact tool
I thought this thinking might be a handy tool for tightening carbon parts on my wife's bike without dragging out the bigger torque wrench I own and I found it works really well. Yes, it is small but I have strong hands and using it was not an issue for me. I think even with weaker hands it would be okay. That said it is small. I don't have it with me to give accurate measurements but it is the size of a small address type stamp. I do like the fact you can use your own bits in it. The ones supplied are okay just not that great quality wise but still do the job as needed. The click on reaching the right torque is very positive which is more than I can say for my cheap click-type torque wrench purchased from the Harbor freight company. It would easily fit in a small saddle bag should you so wish - handy if you want to make minor adjustments to handlebars etc out on the road or trail and not have to worry about torque

a must have
Holy cow is this a handy little device! It works great and I use it all the time for my seatposts and saddle clamps. It’s also nice for handlebars. Because of the Ritchey TorqKey I have yet to have need for an expensive torque wrench. Some people complain that they can’t get a good grip with this device but I haven’t had that issue at all. You will need to tighten things quite a bit before that click kicks in. When I first got the tool I thought mine was broken because I’d never hear the click. I had to have a bike mechanic demonstrate it for me and that’s when I realized I just hadn’t been doing it hard enough.

You Need This Little Tool
It's a nice little addition to your tool box. It is pre-set for 5nm and upon reaching that tightness, the tool clicks forward to give you a definite sign that you have reached 5nm. The only downside is that the handle shape and size make it hard to turn to the proper tightness. It would be better if you could just attach a drive to it, but hey, it's inexpensive and it works, way better for me than the classic torque wrench, (mine is just gathering dust)It comes with hex bits that cover most of your bikes bolts and a torx key, plus it accepts other manufacturer's bits. Two things to consider: the majority of the bolts on your bike require 5 or 6 nm, and if you don't use a torque wrench to check your work, your settings are probably nowhere near tight enough.

Great little tool for the price - not ergonomically great but that's only a minor gripe. Gives peace of mind when tightening fragile bolts. Not a satisfying click like the park tool one (which is more than double the price) but you can feel it give when the correct torque is attained, Love it.
