Have had this for about 2 months... easy to put up. Cat is 12 lbs... loved it... UNTIL the second shelf from the top broke in half and fell to the floor WHILE KITTY WAS ON IT. WTF?!?! So he fell off and it scared the crap out of him, and now I'm 10 days past the return window so I can't return the effing thing. It specifically says in the item description, "The cat gym tree with multilevel is strong enough for large cats or multiple cats families." I'm going to contact the seller and see if I can return the item or get a full or even partial refund, but yeah, we'll see if they give a hoot.

I am SO happy with this product. I previously bought another brand that goes to the ceiling and required a saw to cut it if it was too long. Boo. This is sturdy, easy to assemble, modern looking and small-space friendly. My cat, Kingston is a 16lb guy and as you can see, is enjoying the birds eye view and naps from his new favorite spot. He took to it the first day (with a couple of treats to motivate his curiosity). My only enhancement requests: I’d love to pick my own color for the hammock. And if there’s a way to have a slightly larger hammock for bigger cats, that might be more comfortable for him long term. Otherwise we are very happy. Yay!

I just put together and installed this cat tree this week and today I noticed the wood shelf with the car head cut out was already splitting. Not sure if this is only a problem with mine or a design flaw. I initiated a return, but was disappointed there was no easy way just to get my defective piece replaced. My one-star review reflects the hassle of going through a full return because of defective pieces. Aside from the defective shelf, the tree seems to be of better quality and more sturdy than other cat trees I have had, but the split shelf is a deal-breaker. I also am considering just going to the hardware store and having a board cut to length, because my cats do not seem to like the shelves with the holes anyways, but haven't decided if it would be worth that extra expense to me.

Our young cat was trying to climb this even before we drilled it into the wall. She loves the platforms, hammock, and the rope post. The pieces come clearly marked to help assembly. This isn’t heirloom furniture and it’s not priced or presented as such; it’s basic wood but everything is precise, finished, and sturdy. I only have two complaints. 1) I wish platform pads were included instead of requiring a separate purchase. The platforms definitely need something for the cat to grip, especially the top platform. 2) I wish the wall plates were not in a “cute” cat shape. I wasn’t interested in Hello Kitty decor. I still recommend this for this price point.

This is so purrfect. I don’t have a lot of room and it fit nicely into the corner by our windows. The cats love it and it is very sturdy!
