My wife loves it! I had to buy some thick double-sided mounting tape to get the bracket to fit snugly in the dashboard recess. The x-shaped bracket is actually easier and seems more secure than the side-squeeze style I was used to. I think it blocks the view of the center screen, (I’m 6’, she’s 5’4”) but it’s my wife’s car, so it’s a winner!

The phone holder is very helpful in keeping my phone where I can find it. That’s a big plus for me. The only problem is that the phone sits right in front of your Information Display. I knew that when I purchased it but I thought it would hold the phone sideways in order to better see the Information Display. It does not hold your phone sideways. Your phone will just fall out into the floor. It is very easy to install. The quality seems pretty good but I’m going to have to use it for a while to see if I got a good deal for my money.

Make sure to buy 3M VHB double-sided tape. This would not stick to my vehicle with the tiny pieces of tape that were provided. My phone was too heavy. If I had a dollar for every phone holder I bought for my dash that only lasted a couple of days before it fell off I would be rich. We will find out how well this holds up after using huge pieces of double-sided tape.

1. It does not hold, even with third party tape. I am guessing that it is either coated with a non-compatible finish, not shaped for maximum contact, too heavy or some combination of these.2. It does not hold an IPhone 14 or 16 with a case.3. It blocks the display.

This is perfect for Mini Cooper. I’ve tried so many stupid phone mounts in my car! Either they don’t fit the air vent or the view is obstructed or the stupid things eventually fall off the bumpy textured dashboard. And I don’t want to make them permanent in any way. This mount is stable, easy to install, does not obstruct anything except the top of the screen where you see your radio station and it matches the car! So perfect. I was putting off buying because it was kind of pricey for what it does but it was totally WORTH IT.

Was very excited to get this because my Mini has no good place to hold a phone. However, once installed, I found that my phone does not fit in it. Appears to be designed for the phone only; with a phone case on, it's too thick to fit. I'll probably try to modify the tabs that hold the phone and hopefully that will work, but I hate that I have to do that. Everyone I know has a case on their phones so the designers of this product should have taken that into account.

I didn't love the price, but once I got it installed, which was so simple, I love it! My phone has never been this securely attached to this car. I have a 2019 Mini Cooper Clubman, and it works! Very sturdy, easy to place phone in and take out. Only con is I can't put my phone on it until after I back up and start driving because I can't see the whole screen for backup camera.

This is the best phone holder I've tried out of several that I triedfor my Mini Cooper S 2015 (including the Heinmo cradle clip which is junk). Super easy to install, just peel the pads off of the adhesive and stick it to the opening above the screen, and voila! A smart use of the space in the car in a location that doesn't interfere with anything and is in my scan line of sight when driving. My iPhone 14 pro slides right in and out easily in the phone slot using gravity, and it doesn't shake or move over bumps on the road, quite sturdy. I love it. Highly recommend.
