I did lots of research on Sodastream-type devices.This one came second in some reviews I saw (with Philips coming first, just) but this one lets you release the gas from the lid and that means you can fizz just about anything like wine etc.Do release ALL of the gas though, as I've had a couple of explosions !!I've had it a month now and not got through the first cylinder of CO2 yet, and I use it every day.

This is a great machine best part is being able to refizz your drink . Easy to use

saves money with purt used bottles that have gone flatter than you'd like. pour it in bottle and give it a squirt.. tastes like it came out of a sealed bottle.. saves me a fortune

Brilliant. Saves so much on buying bottled water and then disposing of the PLASTIC bottles. Much better for the planet. Just don't over gas it as you will have difficulty getting the lid off and of course you are wasting gas (which costs money). So be frugal.

Worked fine for the first cylinder, the second cylinder discharged when it wasn’t being used (I got 3 bottles of soda water out of it), and the mechanism for the CO2 injector broke after about 10 uses on the third cylinder. A small plastic part broke with nothing but normal use. I submitted a warranty claim but Drinkmate are just ignoring my claim.This thing is the epitome of cheap junk masquerading as a premium product. The mouldings are flimsy, the fit is loose and invites issues seating the bottle, and the parts are under-engineered and made of weak materials where a couple of pennies more and they’d have lasted forever. And the bottles aren’t dishwasher safe. They MELT in a normal dishwasher cycle. (I had to search through the manual to find the bit where they tell you they’re not dishwasher safe. They could have put a sticker on the bottles telling you this, but then they’d probably lose out on selling you replacements at £17 for 2…)Buy something cheaper. At least you’ll know you’re getting something cheap that way.

I bought it at amazon prime day, just for £99 included 2 CO2 Cylinders. I'm very happy that I don't need to buy a bottle of sparkling water now. And my daughter said that this sparkling water is better than purchased one.
