nothing really, it just works very well.
this is an exact replacement for another we had hardwired into our kitchen cabinet. the Ni-Cad battery finally died in the original one. so with this one we didn't have to make any mounting changes.

You put it back in its holder and it recharges
This tool is exactly what I was looking for when I bought the cheeper model. (The cheeper model you have to plug in yourself all the time and it fell in the dishwater and broke) Anyway, you place the tool back in the set and it has connectors that make it plug in and keeps it recharged. I know, a little bit of time saver but every little bit helps and also you never forget to plug it in.
