KiddeAC Hardwired Interconnect Smoke Alarm with Hush I12040 (4-Units)

The smoke detector was an exact model replacement and such was an extremely quick and easy install. The units arrived quickly and were packed well. The price was right and it was exactly what I needed.My only issue is that the units had a July 2020 manufacture date and it is November 2021. Not sure if that matters all that much but I also recently purchased combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with an August 2021 manufacture date. Would have rated a 5 if the manufacture date was more current.

Purchased to replace the old Kidde hardwired smoke detectors in our home. Installation was easy and the new hardware went right up after loosening two screws. Even the plugs are the same so no wiring was required. Most people don't realize that these detectors should be replaced every ten years. Cheap insurance that could one day save your life!

Ordered 8 total detectors, all 8 arrived. There were 2 plastic bags of 4. One of the boxes appeared to have been opened before and it was missing the wiring harness and safety pin. Not sure what to do now?

It has 3 wires. Pulled old one out and attached 1 wire at a time. Took about 5 minutes per unit. Easy installation. You don't have to be an electrician to do this. Just match the home wires to the fire protector wires and your done. Just follow the directions and everything will work as it should.

I had two detectors go bad and needed to replace them. The big box store didn’t offer a AC/battery smoke detector so I went and got these through Amazon. They installed easily and are working as designed. I always recommend Kidde.
