The mouse pocket works great for mouse storage and the handles make it really easy to carry. The steel is well cut with no sharp edges and the paint is applied consistently and that makes the red finish look awesome. its sufficiently large to hold a full size keyboard and the mouse surface is big enough for large desktop mice (like a Logitech MX Master) not just 'portables'. One of the three velcro peices didnt adhere well to my keyboard so i ended up having to manually align it. only suggestion would be possibly to provide the velcro swatches not pre applied to the lap board but instead let the user apply them to his or her keyboard where contact would be optimal (my keyboard has a slightly arched underside).

I did not know... I needed this. For quite a few years, due to having a desk job, I don't use my home computer sitting at a desk. A wireless keyboard w/ trackpad is always an option- but I just opted for a very static setup of a keyboard on my lap and a mousepad - somewhere.... This still made it so any game played was with a gamepad. I tried to mouse/keyboard it but nope. Just no control. Or I'm getting old. I was looking at the 1-2 "couch" type solutions where you get a gamer grade keyboard and a crappy gamer grade mouse... I already have peripherals -- so I saw this. This is perfect. The mouse pad provided doubles as a 'pouch' that you will quickly learn to love. It's a bit heavy for my wife to sling around, so I think she would have preferred I buy one of those ridiculous green overpriced 'couch' alternatives. However, if you can lift it... it does really allow you to kinda stow away the keyboard/mouse in much the same manner as some fandangled "dock" OK. So it's heavy. It gets 4 stars not because its heavy, but because yeah its so heavy I really wish somehow it didn't want to bend. It flops around a bit, but there are no sharp edges anywhere and the paint is holding up SO far. It is metal. It gets cold. Quite cold. I can now game with my mouse/keyboard at near-teenage levels... I always sucked; tho.

I bought the metal version after years of using books, pillows, cushions, and anything else that was handy as a mouse surface for my living room pc. The finish was fantastic and the adhesive for the keyboard was decently spaced for my Logitech board. It is heavy but not as solid as I had hoped. Because the SERFPAD does not have a rolled edge or any kind of strengthening ribs(it is perfectly flat), it has more flex then I care for. It does its job well, I just expected more rigidity from the metal.

It is very sturdy, sits comfortably in my lap, being metal the wireless self charging naga mouse just sticks to it which is great. The handles on each side are nice. It is a simple product but accomplishes exactly what it is designed to do.
