This shower mat works very well. I read complaints about the smell and the creases in the mat. As soon as I received it, I put it in the clothes dryer to soften the plastic so that it would lay flat in my shower. Not only did it lay flat, the smell that others complained about also went away right away. I put it on my fiberglass shower and stepped in the suction cups and it has stuck securely to my tub. Follow this guide and you'll be happy too.

First of all, the appearance and size of the shower mat are fine. BUT, I'm pretty sure that you aren't buying it primarily for good looks. Due to an injury I bought this mat for our 6x6 shower for my husband. First of all, it does not stick. Yes, I tried all the suggestions, more than once. You can get some of the tiny suction cups underneath the "bubbles" to stick, but the edges are a big problem. And the ones that do stick will come back up. Those little "bubbles" of plastic on top are very slippery.. And when suds are on the mat, it is even more slick.. Suds are generally present in the shower! Lastly, it holds water underneath and that is where mildew will grow. You could lift it up every day, spray with bleach or cleaner, then try valiantly to restick the mat. The tile is less slippery than this mat, so it is a throwaway. I wish that it could be recycled at least!

I have tried them all, and this by far', is the best stall/walk in shower mat on the market. As mentioned, there is the Chinese rubber smell. but it will dissipate after a week or so. Don't get discouraged with the smell. If it really bothers you. leave it out side for a day or two. The odor will go away.No slip, and water drains completely off the mat. the center drain opening is the key. I truly love this mat. The larger size fit perfect in the center of a large walk in shower. Highly recommend.

This is the perfect mat to fit my shower. I received it yesterday, wet the floor and stuck it on and walked on it good. It set without moving. This morning I took a shower with it for the first time and there were no problems, stuck fast had plenty of drain holes which I like and fits perfect. There was a slight rubber smell that has been mentioned in other comments made, but no smell today, no slip, I do see the fold lines, but it is new and will flatten out. I would highly recommend this mat.

Another reviewer had a great suggestion. As has been stated in other reviews, this product has a distinct plastic odor. But, if you put it in your cloths dryer on high for 15 minutes it will take the wrinkles out and almost eliminate the plastic odor. In a day or so after being in the shower the odor is gone. I have a tile floor in my shower. The tile are octagon shape, 2 inches across. The mat suction cups adhere tightly to the floor. I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it.

Finally! I've been looking for a larger mat for my shower stall, and this one is working great so far. Big enough that I can move around, but it still grips well and stays in place. I didn't think the smell was a big deal, smelled like every other plastic widget out of the shipping box, but faint odor went away first day and never bugged me. We all have diff sensitivity levels, I guess. Anyway, what I liked was being able to move around a bit more during my shower! Great solution, reasonable price.

Have tried 3 or 4 different mats for my shower, either they were too small or they slipped, or they didn't allow water down the drain fast enough. This mat is absolutely perfect and I'm delighted that I finally found it.

This is our third SlipX product and really glad that they offer a larger mat, since our shower is too large for the smaller version. It really sticks well IF YOU INSTALL IT CORRECTLY. When right out of the package, it will take a while for the creases to flatten out and you will need to install it initially, then adjust for the first week or so. Once it has been laying flat for a week, it assumes that shape, so grips even better. Make sure that you push in all the suction cups - start by walking on it, but then get the remaining few with your thumb. We have a tile shower floor and once it is adhered well, it really sticks well. Just check every once in a while just to confirm. Some have complained on a plastic odor - this was very mild and was gone after two days. Overall, an excellent product.

So disappointed with this item. I really thought it would be secure and non slip, it’s not, the suckers are too short to secure adhesion to the shower tray, the water drains poorly. I have mobility issues due to my disability and need to feel safe & prevent falls etc. This item is not worth risking a fall it just doesn’t inspire confidence not to move, and I wouldn’t describe it as non slip. Very hard plasticky material, awful product, returning.
