Tamarack ATV Front Box

Not wanting to drill holes in the box for the Ubolt mounting, I am using the two “knobs” on the sides to attach to my rear ATV rack using zip ties. This doesn’t work as well as I expected because the sides are weak and flexible. When I cinch down with the zip ties, it flexes the lip and the box is very difficult to close. I am currently working on a different mounting scheme. Beyond that, it has plenty of storage room for my needs and doesn’t take up too much room. I will be putting a cushioned liner of some sort in it becasuse items rattle around and make quite a bit of racket when riding. I could see my self giving 5 stars if not for the weakness in the mounting. If they could strengthen that area, it would help a lot.

Love this box on my brute force! It is meant for the front, but i chose to mount it on the back, with the indent facing front. Works perfect when i have a rear passenger. The first box i ordered was lacking workmanship, one of the hinges was crooked and the box did not shut correctly. Had no troubles returning it for free, and the replacement was perfect. More than enough storage space, and I love the low profile. 9/10 storage boxes on the market are much too tall, imo. The box is very durable, not at all flimsy. The hinges and hardware durable as well. The lock hinges themselves dont lock down as tight as i would like, and so i cut 2 small pieces of rubber tubing and slit them, and glued them onto the latch to take up the slight slack. They lock down real tight now, no more flopping around on the trails. That said, before my mod i never had one come unlocked... I also added a foam seal around the base, to make it even more water resistant. The cover overlaps the base and is pretty water resistant from the factory, but now it is even more so. One thing i didnt like about the box from the factory, is that the cover will open all the way until it hits resistance i.e. whatever spot on your atv happens to get in the way. Long term it seems this will wear on the hinges, so i took 2 lengths of weed wacker line, attached them to both corners, so now the box only opens to a few inches past 90 degrees. Problem solved. All in All this is a great box, i have no doubt it will last years if you treat it right. I gave it 4 stars only because i think 100 dollars is a bit much, it seems like 70 would be more fitting. At the same time theres not too many low profile boxes to choose from, and so what are you gonna do....

First I would like to say that I love the concept of this box but there is definite quality issues. I have bought 2 of these and had to send both back because of these issues. The first one I purchased and returned was because the sections that were glued/welded together were not aligned properly. Looked like someone intoxicated tried to put it together. The second one I received and returned wasn't much better. The sections were also not aligned but the lid does not close completely on one side. Looks like the hinge wasn't mounted correctly. I can push down on that side of the lid but it will pop up again. It's a shame because I believe this is an American made product.

It's designed for the front but prefer it on the back. It's a solidly built box and has plenty of room for my trail supplies.

Great sleek little box! Works and looks great on rear of my king quad! Very happy with the purchase

Put mine on rear rack. Does what i want it to do but is a bit snug on capacity. Latches a bit loose. Using carabiners through lock hasps to keep things latched.

Great box, great price. All hardware included. Looks great. I have one on both of my quads.

Kind of Lightweight....very loose fitting latches, they unhook at any movement. But then again, the unit is not that expensive. Definitely not watertight.
