Good utility on a budget
Like others, I got this at a discount store for about $10. I'll get specific with pros and cons.Pros:- Price. Really a lot of knife for the cost. At a $10 price point, it's 100 percent worth it because even if it breaks, you have nearly nothing invested in it. So if it's even functional on any level (and it is) you get your value, assuming you do so before you break it (which would take effort or a lot of hard luck).- Incredibly "grippy" and comfortable besides. The handle is rubberized, has some give to it, is molded into a nice shape and you've got a comfortable setup.- Full tang. I'm less convinced now than I used to be that this is critical (it depends on the knife, the user, etc.), but all things being equal, a full tang is a good thing.- Lanyard hole provided.- Sharpens pretty easily and gets reasonably sharp.Cons:- Thin blade. The back edge of the blade is thinner than you may like for a heavy duty survival knife. No, it's not as thin as a fish fillet knife, but it's not as thick as a Condor Bushlore, either. This makes it a little light in the hand. Serviceable... but a little thin which means it may not be as robust as a quality survival knife. I don't worry about breaking it (it's thicker than an Opinel pocket knife for instance), but it's not a knife I'd baton with.- Noted to have 440 stainless steel. My gut tells me it's 440A, the "least good." Otherwise they'd note what it is (A, B or C). 440A is fine, but out of vogue these days as it's known for being the steel of choice for cheap knives. That said, it does take an edge and it will hold it OK.- Sheath is cordura nylon with stitching. It really needs something better. While functional, I can see stitches tearing. That said, it does have a handle strap that holds the knife in securely.Final thoughts:This is, to me, a really good back up survival/bushcraft knife. It's got a number of uses where it will work well (skinning, fine woodworking, sharpening a spear and handling tasks around the campfire). But due to the thinness of the blade and the mediocre sheath, it would not be my "primary" knife for backcountry use. If you have a Condor Bushlore at the low end or something at the higher end like a Fallikniven or a Becker, this would make a fine backup knife (as would a Mora, which has a different style, shape and form, but is related from a ruggedness/functionality standpoint). This may also make a good truck knife for skinning game if you're a hunter, though, again, if you're hardcore, this would be a backup. In short, it's well worth its price because it can do a lot for very little, even if it really doesn't fit any niche extremely well.

hard to find a better knife for this price
Bought 3 of these blades, 2 at the same as the other reviewers and the other on here. First off I love the feel of this knife in my hand, very ergo and also very well balanced for throwing. It is not made of the best steel so be careful as it can chip will lose its edge if not maintained correctly. If you are looking for a back up field knife, one to keep in the vehicle, one for the kid to take camping then you will not be dissapointed. Not bad for self defense either. Great blade for the money and anyone complaining about this knife for this price just wants to bitch & moan about anything and everything.

Best 10$ knife you can find
I bought this for about 10$ 5+ years ago. Never sharpened it, never took any particularly good care of it and still one, if not he best knife I have. After years of misuse the handle can be pealed off with your finger tips, but I don't care. If at some point I get needed, ill strip it all off and make a new handle and use it for another 10 years or more I imagine.

Decent knife for the price.
I bought this knife at W@# M@#t for under $10. It's a good knife especially for that price. It sharpens fairly easily and has a good feel to it. The blade is a little thin but I would much rather abuse and potentially break a $10 knife than a more expensive one.

Not Heavy Duty
Bought this at ***-mart for $10. Feels good get razor sharp easy. Only weakness is the blade is thin and flexible. Would be great for general field knife or for a teen scout. Not suitable for combat or hard use. At the ***-mart price a good deal .
