Essential Tool for Leg Fracture Recovery
I suffered a bad tri-malleolar fx back in September, which left me non-weight-bearing (with complications) for three months. When the splints and casts were finally all off, I was ready to get out of bed and be [more] normal. My family moved a recliner into my room so I could still ice and elevate, but it was difficult for me to get out of it and stand up, even using a walker for assistance.I was initially just searching for a table that would allow me to sit in a chair with my computer to do my work (You might think that sitting in bed working would be amazing, but that is a poor long-term choice ergonomically speaking, as you gradually slide down the bed and those pillows never stay put!). When I saw this table with the handle to help me stand, I decided to try it and see if I could get some of my independence back. Here are my thoughts:- Worth every $- Well made and easy to put together. One screw didn't want to attach, but the other two are enough to hold the weight. The hardest part was positioning the table stand under the chair legs - two people make that task easier.- Stable, stable, stable! Frequently tested by the household pack consisting of a German Shepherd, Greater Pyrenees, Golden Retriever, and Poodles. They tried their best to break it.- The standing handle does its job perfectly! Besides using it to stand up, I can also run my cables through it and hang things from it to keep them within reach.- The arm height is easily adjustable and has a good range of height options.- The arm swing and table swivel combine to make it ridiculously flexible to position either to the left or right of the handle.- The table itself is very nice and will easily hold a 15" laptop, books, breakfast, etc.- The little tray on the back of the table space is great for stashing a remote, pen, reading glasses, etc.- The table is NOT large enough to hold a 15" laptop with a mouse next to it. I hate touchpads, so I placed a cutting board under the laptop and shifted it over until I had enough room to use my mouse.Overall, I highly recommend it! Even if you don't need the handle to assist with standing, this is just a nice, stable little table if you spend a lot of time in a chair - or have crazy K9s or toddlers who are always trying to knock your stuff to the floor.

A couple items missing...
I purchased this item used as the seller noted it as "like new" condition. The original package arrived damaged (not a problem). However a plastic fitting was cracked, some of the bars were marred, a main support bolt was missing along with the assembly instructions. I sourced a replacement bolt from the local hardware store and cleaned up the hardware. Once that was accomplished the item looks and functions just fine. Although I would not call it "like new" condition. But heck I saved $30 so that is the risk one takes.

Great for someone with Parkinson’s!
This small table has been perfect for my husband. He has had Parkinson’s Disease for 26 years and this makes it comfortable for him to eat snacks in front of the tv and he uses the grab handle everytime he sits down or stands up. I am super pleased with this purchase. He no longer spills his plate of food. 👍🏼

I love it!!!
I read the reviews, weighed the pros and cons, and went ahead and ordered one, and I am so glad that I did. It works out perfectly. I totally love it. It might be a little difficult to assemble alone for some individuals and getting the thing under a heavy peice of furniture might be impossible for some, so keep that in mind. Ive had mine for a few months now, and the surface is still holding up well, but I took the other buyers feedback into account and I cut a cork placemat to cover mine with and used the circle that was cut out to accomidate the cup holder space as a coaster for in the cupholder. I don't expect that it will last forever because it is mdf, but was it a nice feature, is the bracket that attaches under the table top, is seated from the bottom with four screws, which makes it feasable to replace the top when it wears out if you are crafty and inclined. It was a happy suprise for me as I dont expect the other parts to wear out near as quick at the mdf/laminate surface. The cork also keeps things from sliding around on the surface when you do not want them to. I am able to utilize it for small meals and also for light administrative work, like composing this review, without any problems. It is not going to fit properly under every application. The upright sits too close to the feet for oversized arms. I also had some difficulties with mine because I modifed my recliner with feet to make it taller to aid in rising from a seated position. So my chair will not sit on both the front and rear feet close to the furnature like it needs to, to work properly. But with some ingenuity, you can overcome this problem. It my application, I was able to set a large glass pickle jar, filled with glass marbles on top of the front feet to weight it down and it works out perfectly for me. Which is great because the room is too small to allow for the chair and a side table, so this is one of the few options and I love it because its perfect for my needs, so I found a way to adapt, improvise and overcome. If you go into the purchase with the expectation that you might have to fenagle things a little, you are more likely to be rewarded with happiness in your purchase. Between this and a lap tray, its definately worth the convieniences and versitility. If I had the room to fit it, I would buy one for the other side as well. Im really happy but then again, I am a fabricator by nature, so modifying things isn't a big deal for me. I recommend taking some measurements and trying it. If it works for you, your not going to be sorry. I do suggest cork covering the top or similar -foam yoga matting cut to size, would probably work well also, without lifting the surface like gripper shelf liner can do, because it will save wear and tear and compensate for some minor movement/flexing.

Loosens, compromised stability, but great idea to secure under funiture.
Initially very sturdy, however, after one month Item loosens easily, compromising the stability when using it to assist in standing. The table top loosened easily, as well, allowing the table top to tilt suddenly allowing food to slide off the table. My momused it for just a little over one month.
