Why did you pick this product vs others?:I'm going to gush over these lights for a moment, so forgive me.I originally had purchased HomeFY lights from Amazon. They worked for a grand total of a month and then I just could get them to pair properly again. I was so frustrated.Enter GOVEE Smart Light Bulbs...the answer to my Wifi prayers!!!These bulbs were soooo easy to set up. I literally screwed them in and turned on the GOVEE app and VOILA!Unlike the aforementioned loser light bulbs, I was able to group both of these bulbs so that I could manage them simultaneously. The app is super smooth and slick and easy to maneuver. I almost couldn't believe it!So, run, don't walk, to get these bulbs...the best out there that I have found.Thank you GOVEE!!!!

One thing I also really appreciate is that the bulbs don’t get too hot, even after being on for hours.Overall, this is a fantastic upgrade to any space. I purchased this 8-pack of Govee Smart Light Bulbs for my mom as a Christmas gift, and the setup was incredibly easy. We simply added the bulbs to the Govee app on her phone, and then enabling the Govee skill in Alexa automatically discovered the new bulbs. The entire process took maybe ten minutes from start to finish.The integration with her Alexa speaker has been seamless. The bulbs offer normal brightness levels and a wide range of colors. Using Alexa voice commands, it's very straightforward to turn the lights on and off or change their color.While we haven't experimented with the music sync feature or the dynamic scenes, the basic color control through Alexa has been perfect for my mom's needs. We haven't experienced any issues with connectivity or reliability, except for the expected outage when the internet went down, which naturally affected Alexa's functionality.Having personally used Philips Hue bulbs for years, I was particularly impressed that these Govee bulbs don't require a separate hub, which made the setup for my mom much simpler. The value of this 8-bulb pack is outstanding – it cost roughly the same as a single Hue bulb and provides the same core functionality. Honestly, it makes my initial investment in Hue seem quite expensive in retrospect.My mom has these bulbs installed in her living room lamps and her bedroom. She typically keeps the living room lights on a bright white setting, but she enjoys changing the bedroom lights to red in the evening, as she finds it easier on her eyes. These Govee bulbs have been a fantastic and affordable way to add smart lighting to her home.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Had been using a Sengled system w/ a hub and occasionally if the power blinked the lights would all stop working. Got tired of it. Got these because there was no hub and they were very affordable. Came the next day and set up was amazingly easy. Their app makes sense and is easy to navigate. The bulbs added quickly via bluetooth and then connected to Wifi and then to our Alexa. Took about a minute per bulb. Got the rooms all set back up and running in under half an hour and the quality is great. The colors are very good. Much better than our old bulbs. Very happy with purchase.

These bulbs are really good, they are super bright and can imitate any type of bulb you want. It looks really nice with warm colors especailly and you can change them to whatever color you want. It not only does natural colors, it can also do any color in the RGB spectrum which is nice.

High quality, app is easy and intuitive to use.Not only do you get a lot of cool lighting modes.You can set the lights to turn on and turn on, and set them to whatever mode. At specific times. So I have my lights to turn on to help wake me up. They auto turn off before I leave for work. And auto turn on before I come home.

These are fun lights and work extremely well with the Govee app and their infrastructure. They are standard-sized so they will fit into most sockets, obviously, it's a standard light bulb.Turn off (or on) the bulbs with ease in the Govee app. Change colors, set schedules, etc. The app is easy to set up and use.For home automation enthusiasts, unfortunately this specific model is not compatible with Home Assistant.
