Calming
With an amalgamation of various topics and concepts, Jishnu Venugopal's brings a feel-good and bittersweet poetry book. He explores love, nature, relationships, mental health, and many other things.Divided into 6 parts— the poems categorized under each part complements certain emotions. Like the first part is dedicated to the matters of heart and soul, dedications poured to a lover or be it the Irish Whisky. The second part is dedicated to the poet's questions for himself. But my favourite of them all is the part where the poet straight up gives you poems about nightmares and unconventional tragedies. Some of these poems come with a twist. So you will be smiling to yourself after the twisty realization. The poem "Figuratively - Pluck Yew" criticizes everything that is wrong with the society, the poem "What a pity" talks about domestic abuse, while the poem "Persistent Procrastination" is a comedic take on procrastination and us pushing work for the next day. Some of these poems are the author's musings, some are beautified and heartfelt dedications, some tell you a story, meanwhile others go deep and dark. In just 90 something pages, the poet covers a myriad of themes. Reading this poetry collection was like a roller-coaster ride. It was fresh and interspersed with the poet's doodles which made me muse about the poems and the doodles.

Amazing book
This book is more than crucial poetry it is about rhythmic poetry, as that is what 'ode' means. This is a compilation of poems discussing various facets such as society, trauma, people, mental health, home, hope, strength etc. This book is divided into parts and each part has different emotions each about different ideas such as harmony in chaos, heart and soul, lucid dreams and many more. Some of these poems are the writer's musings, some are beautified and genuine devotedness, some tell you an anecdote, meanwhile, others go intense and dark. The illustrations used in this book have been so appropriately formulated and put that it suits all the poems with which they are related to. There is an abundance of poems in this collection. Few poetry takes up various elements of our lives and thus garnish the portrayal of it with nuances of distinct tints of our feelings intertwined in several stages we have been breathed through and keep close to our hearts. With straightforward wording and a beautiful composition technique, each poetry has a profoundness, its sentiment that one could connect to. I liked how the aroma of each poetry is wonderfully conveyed by the author. What I loved most is the writing style of the author. It's simple, vibrant and crisp. It's been a great read for me; the book cover, as you can see, is captivating.

An incredible poetry collection
"I want my writings to be my memoir, the lines I go back to, whenever I'm in despair. To learn again about the journey I've made, steps I've taken that grew me over the years, thoughts that made me the man I am today,While I wish fully hope, it makes someone else, even more brave."This is a collection of poems discussing various facets such as society, trauma, people, mental health, home, hope, strength etc. These poems are written from the experiences, daydreams and short stories of the poet. The poems also describes the nature we are surrounded with a splendid writing style.I really loved and enjoyed the idea and concepts of the poems. They are full of imagination. It is also divided into different parts each about different ideas such as harmony in chaos, heart and soul, lucid dreams and many more. The poems not only talks about a single topic, it discuss various topics and aspects and even conveys a heart-wrenching story in an incredible poetry style. I just loved the illustrations of the book, they are absolutely so creative." These questions, I wished there were answers, a wave of thoughts swirled upon. Is it right or it is wrong?"

Must read
An Ode I Owed ~Jishnu VenugopalFirst I will definitely talk about the cover and the title which is fascinating and eye catching. The slim book (genre- fiction/ poetry) is full of emotions, society, trauma, people, mental health, home, hope and what not.At the beginning itself I was merged with its words and wondered how a book just of 94 pages could say so loudly. There are many poetries in this book with which one could relate their life experiences. It tells the truth of the society and reveals its true face. There are illustrations which make it interesting all the more. The author has used simple and easy language so that he could connect with the readers and he is successful in doing so.This book is a must have in your collection. Myriad of poems
A good myriad of poems ranging from various life stuffs and most importantly about mental health. This has not been covered by most of the poets but this poet has tried to pen it down well. The satires used in between is a special note to be taken of his work. A good, light, quick and an easy read for all poetry lovers. The illustrations used in this piece have been so aptly made and put that it suits all the poems with which they are connected to. It can also be a good motivational read for the budding poets of this modern era.
