So cute! Washes well, and if smoothed out while still damp doesn't need ironing. Didn't stain with taco oil and salsa😬 which I sprayed with Dreft stain spray (which is great for food stains) and washed out - even with its bright white background😄 I bought a second pattern, Tropical which is also gorgeous! High recommend these placemats

These placemats are prettier in person than in the photos. The colors are vibrant and the design adds a little whimsy to my table. Even my husband likes them but, then again, we are both bird lovers. The placemats are well made—all the stitching is even and neat. Some people stated they were 'thin.' They are, in a sense, because they are not quilted placemats; however, they are a double thickness of a heavy weight cotton. In addition to the quality of the product, I have to give kudos to the quality of the company, Maison d' Hermine. Because of an error made at Amazon (the first I'd ever experienced, so no badmouthing Amazon here. We're all human), with the wrong product stickers adhered to some of the packages, I ended up with the roosters placemats called 'Champagne.' Maison d' Hermine responded very quickly to my desire to return them after I'd filled out the online return form explaining how I ended up with the wrong product. They not only offered for me to keep the roosters (which are beautiful, also), but that they were arranging to send me the correct order direct from the manufacturing plant. They arrived very quickly. I really appreciated the extra effort. I hope Maison d' Hermine experiences great growth as a company and that my review encourages others to support them by buying their products.

I just received my order and haven’t yet washed everything, so I will update after I wash everything.I bought napkins and matching placemats. These items are not soft at all; they have a scratchy feel to them. I’m really hoping they will soften after I wash them. Also the color is much darker than what you see in the photo the company has posted. I was desperate for new napkins and placemats so I took a chance but I am very disappointed at this point.
