Installed this about a year ago, works great and you never hear it. Best part is that it really does stop backdrafts when he wind is blowing. NOTE: my hood came with a bad one with no seal. I ended up having to remove it cause it would still flop around and make noise.

This seems to work as described. The cold air seeping in through the dryer vent has been significantly reduced. I had to work a bit on the installation because this requires a female fitting on both ends, but a little time with a pair of pliers modified the old elbow enough to make it work. It was WAY cheaper than installing the whole outlet. Overall, it fit and was easy to install. This is what I was looking for.

i have 2 dryers installed, and venting them out in summer and using the warmth in the winter.. this baffle fits perfectly with the flexible metalish ducking for dryer vernt.. i put it inline..works perfectly.. dryer produces enough air to open it, and works great with my second dryer working too.. even as a gasket inside for the baffell.. not to be used for heating, fire, or direct burn.. the dryer vent is ok.. but i would not use this for anything hotter than i a dryer heat

Quick install, the vent was well built and the operation was very smooth.
