OXO Good Grips Complete Grate & Slice Set - NEW

This set is so nice, I’ve used it a few times now and have had no issues. Being able to store the attachments in the base is a nice safety feature to avoid accidentally cutting myself fishing a part out of a drawer of accidentally damaging the blades in storage. I am handwashing this to avoid the plastic warping in the dishwashing. The attachments fit very nicely and are secure during use.

Great product. Easy storage and very versatile. High quality build tells me it's a great value for money. I hope they slightly improve the functionality to store its parts . Easy to use, a lot easier to clean. Highly recommend it.

I love how this product is designed so very well. This particular set also includes a blade which will make little shreds of carrots or radishes or whatever you like. It makes it so that there’s an end to the shred, which is nice if you’re shredding something that can get pretty big. The plastic gripper thing that holds the fruit or vegetables is sharp enough to hold onto carrots and other hard vegetables like potatoes, so you don’t get your hand sliced off. It works very well, but it does limit how close you can get your vegetable to the shredder blade and there’s always a little leftover at the end. It’s very easy to clean in the dishwasher and what I really love is that it stores well. There are little slots for Everything in the base and it leaves it all separated to dry. It has an excellent top, which becomes what you great everything into and it has corners which are of a rubbery type material maybe silicone which grip the countertop and don’t slide. The individual blades fit beautifully in the top, which lets you measure how much your grading or slicing. After about 10 dishwasher cycles, some of the numbers started wearing off. It’s really thick, good quality plastic, the easiest one of these products I’ve ever owned to use and I would 100% buy it again

Once upon a time Oxo made a version of this product that was a staple in my kitchen. I used it so much and for so long that it literally fell apart. So when I went to replace it and found a new version I was very happy. Unfortunately, as with so many things in life, this item is new but far from improved. The plastic is flimsy, and the blades fit into the container poorly, causing them to wiggle around while you are trying to cut things. In the nearly decade that I owned the previous version, I never once injured myself. I have done so twice since receiving the new version last month. Also, the old version was sloped downward and away from you, so that when you put pressure on it, it made it helped keep it stable. The new version is horizontal, which leads to the container sliding across the countertop as you’re trying to use it, making it even more unreliable and unsafe. I have to wonder if the people who designed and sell these products ever actually use them, because if they did, they would surely realize that this redesign is pure idiocy. Don’t buy it. I replaced it with one of the spiral versions that is light years ahead of this pile of flimsy plastic trash.

The handle is only slightly wider than the blades and has no way to lock in, making it very easy to cut the handle and get plastic in your food. The handle is also incompatible with the grater, because the grater sticks out higher than the slicers and would cut the handle.

This set of graters and slicers are fabulous. Sits neatly in the cupboard when not in use. My only very slight observation is that when you place the grater on the top of the holder to catch what you are grating, you sometimes have to press the side of the holder so the greater doesn't fall in. However I still recommend this as a very useful kitchen gadget.

I am a big fan of oxo good grip handheld slicer . But it cannot julienne. Therefore , I bought this complete grate set . Contrary to all those good reviews, I am quite disappointed. Very difficult to hold the slicer either by hand or in the given tray . It wobbled a lot . The safety hand guard is quite shallow, poor grip & doesn’t feel well guarded (comparing previous good grip’s handheld guard) Every time I slice the veggie, I am quite worried that my hand would be sliced. Only good points are - compact design & sharp knifes . But unsafe & not practical . I have to return
