Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends - Tenders and Turntables [VHS]

My son loves Thompson the train. And the VHS was in great working condition. We are very happy with our purchase

When I was little, my parents got me all Thomas videos. But for some reason, I didn't have this one in my collection. In fact, I didn't even know about it until a couple of years ago and for a long time a was searching around trying to find this one but found out it was no longer availible. I was then able to find this one used over the internet. It sucks how they don't sell this one anymore because it one of Thomas' finest adventures!. Okay, so lets check out the stories:Tenders & Turntables A:Ever since Thomas went away to run his branch line, the big engines have had to shunt their own coaches and they do not like this at all. First, because of his big tender, Gordon has to pull a train backwards because of the strong wind. Then James spins around like a top on a turntable and everyone laughes. All in all, the engines are fed up with Sir Topham Hatt's railway and they decide to go on strike.Trouble In the Shed(Part 2 to Tenders & Turntables) B:The big engines are refusing to come out of the shed so Sir Topham Hatt gets a new tank engine, Percy, and brings back Thomas to help Percy and Edward pull trains while Gordon, James, and Henry stay in the shed.Percy Runs Away(Part 3 to Tenders & Turntables) B:Sir Topham Hatt finally lets the big engines out of the shed and lets Thomas, Edward, and Percy play on the branch line. But when Percy doesn't listen to Edward, Gordon nearly crashes in to him and Percy runs away.Thomas Comes to Breakfast A+:Find out why Thomas shows up at the stationmaster's house for breakfast uninvited.Henry's Special Coal A:Henry hasn't felt this good in his life, thanks to some special coal.The Flying Kipper A:Since the special coal has made Henry feel much better, Sir Topham Hatt has Henry pull a very special train called The Flying Kipper. But there is trouble because of the icy rails and Henry has a nasty accident and is sent to the works. But Sir Topham Hatt promises him that when he gets back, he will no longer need special coal.Toby The Tram Engine A:Meet Toby, the tram engine. One day, Sir Topham Hatt comes to visit Toby at his railway. Toby takes his grandchildren for rides in his coach Henrietta. But Toby is losing his work and one day, his branchline is shut down for good and there is no more use for Toby, but not for long.On the bright side though, you can find all these stories on other Thomas videos or you can do what I did and by this one used like I did.

MY GRANDSON LOVED THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE, AND HE LOVED WATCHING THEM. HE IS 21 YEARS OF AGE NOW, BUT THEY HAVE BEEN PASSED DOWN TOO A COUPLE OF OTHER GENERATION OF BOYS. GOOD STORIES THEY ARE REALLY GREAT AND NOT JUST OKAY.

Vol 3 in the US known as Tenders And Turntables gave a glitch that would impact how Thomas episodes were broadcasted out of order here in the US. I still like the show(The years i grew up with), i love Ringo Starrs Narration the best, he original did the first two seasons in the UK, 1984 and 1986. So in in 1988 Britt wanted the hit show in America and he came back on Shining Time Station to re-narrate episodes, but due to a glitch we never got them all. We got six Season one episodes, and one season two which sticks out like a sore them. We should have gotten Whistles & Sneezes on this VHS instead of Thomas comes to breakfast. Luckily i have been able to collect UK VHS' to get all of Ringo's Narration for the first 52 episodes. The VHS focus' on The big engines going on strike to bringing Percy in(from Troublesome Trucks) then We learn why Thomas cannot drive without his driver(The Deputation Season 2) and then we learn two stories of Henry before going on to Toby. I wish we could have had all of them here, but it is nostalgic to here the US versions of his narrations even thou i now have the UK RS. I didn't know this VHS had existed until 14 years ago when i was with my cousin and he pulled it out. I remember hearing them on Shining Time Station but never thought there was a VHS for it. I purchased it on Amazon three years later the Strand VCI version and recently i just purchased the Strand Home Video Version. I will never understand why when Anchor bay entertainment took over in 1995 they just discontinued this, Thomas Breaks The Rules, and Better Late than never! Either way if you feel nostalgic and want to watch a show you had as a kid and still have a VHS player purchase this!

Video was exactly as described, shipping was quick and reasonable. My son loves the video, I can't believe there was one he didn't have! Excellant seller a definate A+ recommendation.

I watched it. Better quailty.

This tape is the greatest. Theres nothing bad at all about this tape. It also introduces Percy who is the best Thomas character ever. The tender engines go on strike and Percy comes to help Thomas and Edward out. Percy later on runs away and it stopped by a pile of dirt. In Thomas Comes to Breakfast Thomas thinks he can run without his driver but he ends up covered in egg. What confuses me is that Donald and Douglas help him but they don't come until later. Henry also gets special coal to help him run but it turns out it was only becasue his firebox was small. It's such a shame this tape is no longer avaiable.

The video was delivered quickly and was in great condition. My son loves it.
