High-Performance PS5 SSD Heatsink — Designed for Perfect Fit and Cooling
I upgraded my PS5 storage using this Sabrent heatsink, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The aluminum build is solid, and installation—while fiddly at first—was manageable and precise once the SSD clamp was removed. The heatsink replaces the original cover and maintains the PS5’s designed airflow paths, ensuring active cooling rather than trapping heat under a passive plate.Thermal tests reported by reviewers confirm that this heatsink significantly lowers drive temperatures compared to generic models. Its fit accommodates both 2280 and extended 22110 SSD sizes, with uniform pressure that keeps performance stable. On the rare occasion a user experiences SSD bowing, a supplemental thermal pad beneath the board helps maintain balance. For roughly $20, you get one of the most effective and thoughtfully engineered SSD cooling solutions available for the PS5. If you’re planning a high-speed PCIe 4.0 upgrade on Sony’s console, this is the heatsink you should consider first.

Install is a breeze!
I just replaced my PS5 with a PS5 Pro. My old heatsink would not fit into the new PS5 Pro. Infact my old heatsink is much heavier. It works great, come with thermal pad. Installation is easy. 5 out of 5 I am giving! btw Great price too.

Fits on the pro
I've used this for a couple of years on my launch PS5. When I switched out my NVMe into the pro I wanted to put this into it. It fits. The process led me to notice that on the pro, the plate cover is a little bigger. You can see in the picture there's a gap near the screw. So this product works on the pro. But there's a small gap. No issue screwing it down, I didn't need to force it in.

Easy installation and put to good use
The installation was quick and simple. It had a huge impact on temperature reduction and it helped my ps5 slim stay cooler longer. The screw size is the exact same as when you need for the regular cover and it’s very helpful if your SSD does not have a heat sink I highly recommend this product good job!

Great quality and affordable investment
One of the better heat sinks. I am really unfamiliar with internal components of PCs or any other technology like my PS5. But! This design seems to be the best heatsink simply because of the material it is made out of. It completely replaces the SSD cover it comes with, and then it covered all of the empty space inside of the compartment. The heat sink foam is good and simply used an adhesive to stay in place. I am convinced that the way this is designed, my SSD will be protected as the entire heatsink compartment is filled with no space for heat to hangout in there. It seems to fit well with all compatible SSDs. It was made specifically for the PS5. I have the PS5 digital with disk. Overall. Very easy to install and very much does the job at a great quality.

Awesome-just don’t forget this installation step!
Nice in that it replaces the top cover and fits the slot perfectly to allow air flow, that works with the Sony air flow system. As someone else pointed out depending on the length of the SSD you have the thermal pad on the bottom of the heat stick might not be long enough and you would need a different thermal pad. What concerns me is that I did not see this step in the manual and nobody has mentioned it here… There is a clear plastic protector sheet on the underside of the thermal pad ( not the side thats attached to the heatsink . This is supposed to be peeled off so that the thermal material has direct contact with the SSD. If not, you are cutting down how much heat gets transferred. I tried to take a picture of the little plastic sheet after I removed it ,leaning against my controller here. Do it carefully as to not ding up the thermal pad.

Easy to install
I purchased in internal harddrive for my PS5 and was looking into a heatsink for it. After reading reviews, I bought this one. As someone who isnt used to the internal mechanisms of conc9les, I was so nervous to install it. I didnt need to be. It was super easy and even came with the screwdriver I needed.
