Removes Foul Taste!
I'm sure many of you who are looking at this have already given the cheaper filters a try. I'd gone through 4 different models of filters before I finally decided it was time to purchase a higher-tier filter. And let me tell you, this one does not disappoint. In fact, I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. The water source for my town is a foul-smelling lake which also is open to the public for recreation. It is the furthest thing from "fresh water." By the time my local water has gone through the city filtration, it also has a noticeably high level of chlorine. So with my water, everything is working against me. Instead of drinking a healthy amount of water everyday, the undesirable taste of the water usually meant I wouldn't drink enough during the day. This filter FINALLY fixed my problem. The water that goes in this filter on one end is completely different from the water that comes out through the spout. I would describe the taste of this water as "nothing." Just pure water, that's it! I love being able to have a nice cup of water again as compared to bottled water from the store. From my limited research, this appears to be the next best thing after Reverse Osmosis. From the CDC's website, there's a description of multiple filters and their function. The filter in this tri-filter assembly that caught my attention was the nanofilter. Nanofilter technology has a pore size of about .001 micron. The next step up, reverse osmosis, has filters with a pore size of .0001 micron. The difference is what you make it. Nanofiltration and Reverse osmosis are extremely effective at reducing protozoa, viruses, and bacteria. The only notable difference is nanofiltration is not quite as good at removing chemicals, but it still fares batter than every other option besides reverse osmosis (or distillation). The first filter (composite) and third (carbon) also help to ensure longevity and good taste. The benefit this has over RO, and the reason I chose it, is because it's extremely simple to set up (and remove). If you're renting a space and are not allowed to drill holes under your sink for an RO system, this is the best alternative. The last note I'll make is that you'll most likely have to guide your guests through getting a glass of water, otherwise they may end up leaving the water running for a few hours. There's a learning curve of about 10 seconds, but then your guests will understand the system and will keep the faucet off when not in use! So if you can't stand the taste of your water, give this a try. If your water conditions are similar to, or not as bad as mine, then this filter should hopefully improve the taste. It worked for me!

The Best Tasting Water .. Bottled Water From The Pipe..!!!
I live in Jamaica and the tap water is really bad on hope road. There are constant water lock offs from our National Water Commission and the water is always full of mud and a strong smell of chemicals. Sometimes after you catch the water in a bucket you can seen a white vapor coming off the surface of the tap water. I use to have the New Wave Enviro water filter which cost about $90 dollars. The water from the new wave was ok but I really didn't know what true filtered water was until I tried this Brondell H2O+ system. I tested the tap water, the new wave enviro filtered water, bottled water and the Brondell with a TDS meter and basically speaking I didn't need to use the TDS to tell me which water tasted and looked better. The people who manufacture the Brondell should take a bow and pat themselves on the back for designing such a great water filter. I hope they keep up the great work. The Brondell system was way too easy to install and comes with everything you need for counter top setup. If you need an under the counter setup, you will need their optional kit. However I just needed the counter top setup and it was a snap for me to install and I'm not too good at plumbing work. I'm positive we are going to need replacement filters soon because the tap water we have is really bad to the point that i'm actually looking for shower heads to filter the water we bath with. The bottle water and the Brondell water system were basically on par with each other. Just taste it and see for yourself! I would definitely recommend this product to everyone... If you have the budget for a water filter system get this one!

Tossing Money on Filters
Bought this to replace Aquasana countertop system. Works well and actually filters better than Aquasana. Replacement filters are cheaper too. UPDATED: Originally, I gave this a good review. After 10 months, I got rid of it. The water in NYC is silty, and we had to buy a new set of filters in three months, instead of the six months as advertised. This is a huge expense. In the end we bought a Berkey water filter.

Good Water.
I work in a high rise and we have had several problems with bottled water delivery. Our kitchenette water tastes and smells not great. It is Chicago tap water, which is pretty good, but something about running through our building makes the water not great. I examined options. Reverse osmosis filters get rid of the TDS (total dissolved solids) -- either good or bad junk very small particulates in your water, but they also: (1) waste water; (2) require under sink installation; (3) cost $400 or much more for the inital hardware plus regular filter changes; (4) remove healthy minerals naturally found in water. I saw this item and it makes for an easy install and easy filter replacements. I got it. I did not know they made countertop three stage water filters. Very, very easy to install. I also bought testing strips which tests 14 different water atributes and a water tesing meter and tested tap versus filtered versus bottled. All 3 tested in good range for drinking water. So, the issue was primarily the taste and smell. This filter took somewhat gross water -- drinkable, but with a slight chemical taste and smell -- and turned it into tasteless and odor-less water that I am happy to drink and use to make coffee. This filter reduces TDS ppm (parts per million) from 164 to 160, and bottled water is 68. Drinkable according to the EPA is under 500, so we have pretty good water here. Now, I can save about $400 per year by not paying a monthly service which has left us without water 4 times in the last 5 months. The filters are a tad more expensive than its Conway direct competitior, but this item is also $120.00 cheaper intially. I like it. Cheaper than bottled, no hassle, good water. What's not to like?

This is a superior product by far. The instructions were clear, so the installation was simple and quick. It's a fairly small unit, yet quickly provides lots of water, and the water quality is simply excellent. I live in an apartment building, which supplies town water, and now my water no longer contains black flakes or the horrible smell and taste of chlorine. JCormier

We have only had this product for about 1 year or just more than 1 year and I contacted support with no response in over 4 business days. The button after some time starts to get stuck and you have to hit the system hard enough for the button to pop back out after a while. It’s like they created this machine this way so you have to purchase a brand new one after the warranty expires. Do not recommend - better off getting a product that works long term or else you’re spending a ton of money on replacing it after less than 2 years at a time.

I bought it again. After two years in my first Brondell broke the button. But I love this filter so much and ordered again with set of new cartridges. I impressed with quality and it has nice design. It is also very important. You can easily install, just should read the instruction carefully.
