Perfect for crafts of all kinds

These are reminiscent of the cigar boxes we used to use for school supplies when I was a kid thought not quite as strong. I find them to be very useful around the house.

I buy tons of these boxes to decorate and give as gifts, sometimes to sell. They are not available anywhere else except on Amazon. Every time I order them, I buy twice as many as I need because at least 50% will be defective. I need them to be perfect. HOWEVER, Today my new batch arrived and 100% of them are PERFECT. I’ve been asking for a couple of years for better quality control and it looks like it’s finally in place. Thank you, thank you to the manufacturer!

I ordered these boxes to make saving boxes for different things. One's for vacation, one is for pets, and one is for play money. I wanted something I could decorate and make my own. These were perfect! I was able to use my hot glue gun on them, paint, and color them. The hold my money perfectly. I am able to stack them which helps to save space. One con about these is that after a while, it seems the paper covering the box, starts to rip. I have noticed a few torn spots on the box where it opens and closes. It is pretty easy to cover, but I do get worried about the lid falling off after a while.

These are great. Just what I have been looking for.

So I began making my bridesmaid proposal boxes (I purchased 3 three packs of boxes), the boxes are cheap but you get what you pay for.... definitely good for crafting and decorating. They were an ok size (think cigar box or pencil box) but 4 out of my 9 were damaged!!! I still have a 3 Star because amazon is priority shipping me 6 new boxes (hopefully they aren’t damaged too). If you get them at they aren’t damaged it’s a good deal... however it’s a gamble!!

These are the same type of pencil boxes that I remember as a child and they look and perform as good as I remember. Mine came individually shrink-wrapped in plastic and bundled together with two other boxes which were then placed in a larger box with air bag cushions for protection. The shrink-wrap is important because these types of boxes will be prone to warping from humidity. Mine open and close perfectly, but the buyer should understand that these are not going to be super durable. Eventually the paper hinge will fatigue and the buyer will be left with a flapping lid that may need to be "fixed" with tape.The trade-off is that these types of boxes are inexpensive and they can be easily decorated (or defaced) by children, and they can also be easily replaced. They also make good pet coffins in a pinch. :-p My only complaint about these boxes is that the manufacturer carelessly slapped the UPC across the top of the box so the buyer's first decorating project will be to remove the UPC label without marring the top layer of the paperboard.
