I LOVE this.
I LOVE this.. Even though it's a shoe holder, I'm using it as a holder for my smaller bags. It's exactly what I was expecting very sturdy and makes everything look super organized. Also the quality of the materials is pretty good for the price. For the amount of small purses, wallets and clutches I have packed in to each compartment, it's holding up very we'll. I had to get help from my boyfriend to pick it up n place it on my clothing rack because it was real heavy for me n it's not even showing any signs of the metal hook coming out or ripping. :D

Love this for scarves, tennis shoes and flip flops!
I now have 3 of these in my house. I originally got one to store my scarves in, and it not only worked really well for that, I had room left on one side and store a bunch of my flip flops in there. I have 3-4 scarves neatly stored in each pouch (I fold them to the length of the pouch and then slide them in with one arm guiding so they stay neatly stacked and still visible. I usually flip it to the flip flop side in summer (and I keep my lighter scarves on that side) and then over to the scarf side for fall/winter. Such a space saver and I love the visibility! I have that one hanging on a hook in my bathroom. I got another because I was running out of space for my tennis shoes. I have that also hanging in the bathroom (no place else to put it), I have my keds, converse, and keen's in the front, and keep all of my random foot stuff (inserts, shoelaces, etc) on the backside. I didn't want that one to stick very far off the wall so I didn't put shoes on the back side of it. The third is hanging on the door in my daughters room to store some of her many shoes as well. Overall I highly recommend this item to store anything you think might work in it - it probably will. I can personally vouch for scarves (3-4 per pouch one each side), tennis shoes (can fit a pair of keds or converse size 7.5 in each pouch on both sides), and flip flops (I fit 2-3 pairs per pouch). Have had the one with scarves and flip flops for at least a year and it is holding up perfectly.

Pretty decent for flip flops
Pretty decent for flip flops. It does the job and was a good price. But, the material the clear pockets are sewn to isn't fabric -- it's the type of woven plastic/fiberglass that some grocery bags are made of; it tends to break down after a while. Also, the clear plastic is really smelly. I hung it outside for a few days and it seemed to help some. It'll be off-gassing for quite a while I think. If I could find a holder that was made of canvas and didn't smell, I would not question or hesitate over a higher price.

It works
I have lots of flip-flops and flat-soled sandals. I was looking for something to store them in that would be easy to see and access while taking up little space. I also needed it to hang on the back if a door. This does just fine. It wasn't meant to hang on a door, but I couldn't find a suitable storage option that was that would hold this many pairs of shoes. I hung his from a hook secured at the top of the door and it works fine. It's just a little hard to access the shoes hanging on the back up against the door.

Shockingly Strong Shoe Organizer!
I love the Whitmor 6044-1952 White Crystal Collection Hanging Flip Flop File, Clear. To be fair, I do not own any flip flops. I am using it to hold and organize my rolls of vinyl film .I make wooden signs and T-shirts and about a gazillion other things with various forms of vinyl film. Lots and lots of vinyl film. I have struggled with how to organize them all, since I am an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of gal. Voila! The pockets of this shoe organizer are closed on top and bottom and open on both ends, forming a loop into which one may slide one's flip flops. The listing picture shows one pair of flimsy flip flops or sandals per loop. Pshaw! This thing is strong! I've had it for a bit now, loaded down with large, heavy vinyl rolls, and it's performing like a trouper.See my photo of one of the two i bought, hanging on the closet door of my craft room. I plan to buy a third for my actual shoes.

Great for sandals & small handbags
I bought several of these to use as easy-to-see storage for my sandals, flip flops and small handbags. They seem well made and I hope they will last. In most cases, I was able to fit a whole pair of flip flops or sandals into each pocket. A few of my 4" wedge sandals only fit one in a pocket, though. I also figured that I could use this as a handbag storage, for my small purses, clutches and evening bags. (I have the larger "handbag file" for my bigger bags, too.) I was able to fit 2 and sometimes 3 small bags into each pocket. I hung my sandal files on the closet rod, inside the closet... and the handbags file on the outside of the closet door with a metal over-the-door hook. (Look for the longer hook, so you can just twirl the file around to get to the other side and not have to miss the backside or to rehang it. The file can get heavy if full.)

Works well.
I hung this in my closet for flip flops. The slots are large enough to fit a few pair of flat flip flops in each one. I also used it for dressy, flat sandals and shoes. I gave 4 stars because, although it serves its purpose....I do wish it was a little easier on the eyes. It reminds me of something found hanging in a hospital room. I wish it came in black.

Great Way to Organize your sandals & flip flops!
Perfect for all my sandals. The pockets make it easy to see and get to the shoes I need. They are organized now so I don't have to look for the mates. Hangs in my closet so I can get to what I need. I am able to fit 2 pair of my flat flip flops in one pocket.
