Beautiful craftsmanship. Porcelain didn’t have any blemishes or pts or uneven areas. Smooth smooth finish. The center piece for the tea leaves is stainless steel and fits perfectly. Holds the heat while seeping tea. Holds plenty of water and tea. Great value for the money.

Apparently making a really good teapot is harder than you'd think. This one has a couple key problems, first the filter and lid setup is rather awkward as others have mentioned which makes taking it out when you're done steeping a bit frustrating and even painful, second the spout is too narrow so it doesn't pour well and can splash and drip.

Nice teapot that can be used in the microwave. I usually just put a teabag in the cold water and microwave with the teabag in. I like that it has the mesh strainer that you can use with loose tea.
