Gourmia GVS445 Sealing System-Vertical Space Saving 8 Function Sealer, Preserve or Vacuum for Sous Vide, Silver

This is my first vacuum sealer, and once grasping how to use it, I am impressed with the ease of use and storage capability inherent in vacuum sealers.In my opinion, this is one of the best vacuum sealing systems out there. It works really well and will definitely keep food fresher longer (no freezer burn!) It is very easy to use, and works perfectly to seal and vacuum almost every single time.This one is amazingly easy to seal. No more struggling to fit the bag over a little intake. You just pinch the bag in the front so that it seals on the outside of the bag and it sucks the air right out.This Vacuum Sealer is Awesome. It is very easy to use, and contained good step by step instructions for those that may need help.The design of this machine is sleek and I love the silver color. It is made of strong hard plastic that will hold up and last a long time.The set includes the machine, and bags. I like that it does not require a specific type of sealing bag, but that it is versatile and even gives recommendations on other types that can be used.I sealed up some hamburger using a quart size bag, and it was awesome. It took less than two minutes from start to finish, all by a little push of a button. You simply line up the top of the bag where you want it to seal, push down on both sides to lock in place, push the seal button, and Wahlah...the air is sucked out and the bag is tightly sealed.I have been very impressed with this product, and highly recommend it!

This vacuum sealer is by far the best one I have ever used. My food has never been more fresh, Using the product is fast and anyone would be to use it. Anyone who cooks a lot would benefit from this product to keep their food fresh.

I just received this unit and was very happy! It is easy to set up and use. I bought this after researching other food saving equipment and thought this was best suited for my needs. I highly recommend this product.

Out of the other vacuum sealers that i've had, his is honestly the best one that I have ever used! It's super easy to use so there is no hassle. I stored my salmon in the fridge and when I wanted to cook it a few days later, it tasted just as fresh! If you are somebody who likes to store food and still want it to taste fresh then I highly recommend this product. You can store many different sizes which is so convenient, it's a little challenge at first but you catch on quickly and it becomes a lot easier.

What an excellent product at a great price. I like the way it stands and doesn't take too much space on the counter. I'm excited to be able to vacuum pack my steaks and fish for my Sous vide. Works great!

Amazing product!! Needed a vacuum sealing product that works well...did a ton of research and finally decided to give this one a try...and I do not regret my decision! Best product yet!! Works fast and really well!! Recommend this product to everyone!! So useful!

I purchased this after giving my other Gourmia to my daughter at a family dinner. My cabinet space is small ( I live in a travel trailer) so this fits well. I only have two complaints, 1) the compartment for "storing" bags is too small to actually put a roll of bags inside and 2) the "lock system" to prepare the bag for sealing is very difficult to "lock" for someone with carpal tunnel syndrome (that means my hands are weak). Otherwise, it is a great vacuum sealer and I would recommend it !

The media could not be loaded.    Best vacuum sealer! It comes with roll of vacuum bags and an easy slide to cut the bag to any length.I purchased this for better freezer storage instead of using zip lock bags. There is a removable tray which makes it easy to keep clean. Buttons allows me to change the seal for either dry or wet food and to have a normal or gentle suction strength. The bag clamps down and the buttons on top control suction, seal and options to marinate anything in the bag! There is great suction and seal on the bags. Although this model is slightly bigger than other ones, it is more vertical and takes up less counter top room. It truly does save me money because I'm able to buy things in bulk and on sale and freeze them for longer periods.

If your plan is to buy rolls of bags it isn't the best. When just sealing it seams to not perform and even seal. So you are doing 2-3 seals to make sure it doesn't leak. When you vacuum and seal it seams to seal fine though. I thought it was a faulty machine, so I sent it in and got a new one and it's the same result. I have also tried different brands of bags and the same thing.

The bag holding chamber is very small (didn't even come close to holding standard 50' roll), cutter didn't work (even after downsizing my roll to 20'), the actual seal it makes is very narrow (sometimes causing seal at other end to fail when vacuuming), very hard to make an aesthetically pleasing straight seal (the guide is tiny and no window to monitor), you need 3 hands to press down levers on both sides while simultaneously pressing top button for choice of function (i used my nose), and the vacuum chamber success was hit and miss (1 out of 3 usually). I only din't give it 0 stars is cuz i am a nice Canadian.

I owed one purchased 2 years ago. Broke down recently. Won’t seal after vacuuming. No place to service this product. Seal is faulty.Is there a address for service.
