I've been using this pastry blender for a about a month. Works well to blend butter into flour for toppings (photo) on Apple Kuchen. Love the handle - nice big size (between 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 inches wide) fits in my hand and does not wobble or feel uncomfortable. Four blades are 1/2 inch apart (photo). Washes well in dishwasher. Holding up beautifully after one month of being used about 6 times. A teen could use this pastry blender without risk of being cut - the blade are not overly sharp. The blades are sharp enough for cutting cold butter. Update: 2/6/17 Have used this pastry blender now 12 times... love it. Blades are a perfect width from each other. Just made Apple Kuchen again with cold butter the pastry blender quickly made the ingredients into pea size chunks... love it. Washes well in dish washer. Highly recommend.

I do a lot of baking and use a pastry blender to make crusts, blend butter and sugars, make muffin toppings and the like. This, by far is the best blender I have bought. Very good quality, nice grip and excellent cutting blades, which keep my hands and wrist from fatiguing. I wish I had bought this much sooner.Another plus is that it is super heavy duty. The stainless steel is thick. You can tell that it is extremely well made. The rubber grip is nice and comfortable. As a side note, I also use this to make guacamole and it makes avocado mashing very easy. It ran through the dishwasher easily--food bits rinsed right off--and with no chance of rust due to the stainless steel construction.I foresee getting a lifetime of use from this pastry cutter.I highly recommend it.

I have been using it for 6 months.This is probably my 4th pastry blender and is the best one yet. It is very comfortable in my hand (I a woman but I have long fingers) as well as my husband's, and the blades are very good for cutting butter, much better than the ones with wires. It is very sturdy, you can push as hard as you can and it won't bend. It does great in the dishwasher. The red handle shows up well.

This pastry blender is really sturdy and works PERFECTLY for cutting butter into flour. I am SICK of cutting in butter with a knife and a fork! This makes it SO easy. It cleans easily (I just brush it off in the sink and wash it in the dishwasher.). I love that it isn't oversized, so I can use it in a smaller bowl too. It is exactly what I wanted and is one of the better priced pastry blenders I've found.

I love this pastry blender. It is so durable unlike some other cheap ones that bend and this one cuts through any ingredients like a hot knife through butter. Wonderful pastry cutter. Essential for any baker of pies or biscuits. I made a piecrust as soon as I got this tool. It made quick work of perfectly cutting in my butter and shortening. Flakiest crusts ever. The weight, size, and construction are perfect. Much better than my old wire version. The handle is so comfortable, making my motions effortless.

Bought this for a friend who had never seen one before. She made piecrust at my house, using mine, and was amazed how much easier it was to mix the dough. She was only visiting from Sweden so the quick delivery was a big asset. She is very pleased with her new gadget.

What a pleasure to use! Feels great in my small hand, does an excellent job mixing my pie dough and is very easy to clean. Sturdy and well worth the bit of extra money- I expect it will last forever!
