After I posted my original review [below], customer service contacted me and provided excellent service and attention to my point. The information provided to me is that there is in fact an opening for the safety cord. It is not very easy to find, but once you know where it is, to use it is simple. There is a transition happening at the factory level and customer service didn’t yet have current information. The opening is at the upper, back, right corner of the lock box, as you face it. To insert the safety cord, the lock box must be open, of course. Put the end that looks like a tab through the loop at the other end to make a loop to secure to something heavy (that part is same as all other security cords). Then insert the tab end between the lid and the box (from the outside) and then slide the cord all the way over to the corner on the right (still while facing the front of the lock box). The cord will settle into a small slot in the very corner. You should then be able to close the lid without obstruction, which leaves the tab inside the lock box and unable to pull through the tiny opening. I hope I’ve described this adequately and I hope that this is helpful to other customers.Thank you to the customer service provider for this item! I do fully love this lock box now that my problem is resolved.My original feedback, which has been 100% resolved:I like everything about this lock box, except that there is no opening for the safety cord. It simply does not exist. I don’t know how to get hold of the seller to learn his to resolve this. Not as advertised. So for an item that I purchased because it featured a safety cord, it’s just barely okay. Certainly not as great as it could have been. Seller, can you resolve this???

I liked this one because it had two locking points. Had it not open a couple of times with the biometric but I just punched in the code. Biometric worked later, probably had something on my finger that obscured the sensor. Very good for the price.

I JUST GOT MINE DELIVERED ON 3/24/2022 AN I LOVE IT I DO FINGER PRINT ONLY FOR ME AN THE SAFETY OF MY KIDS

I like the fact that a code and keys can be used since it won't read my finger print. It does read my daughter print on hers so it has to be my touch. Nice and large enough for extra ammo. Well made.

Had it for anout three months now and it works great added 7 fingers to the biometric scanner no problem.

The instructions are easy to follow to set up but a disappointment did come this winter when the durability of the finger print scanner mounting bracket easily broke with mabey abit extra force was used when it was cold and struggling to recognize my cold fingers other than that it isn't fort Knox but for the price works better than expected just simply wish mounting brackets were more robust on biometric scanner thing
