CCRE Velour Earpads Replacement for Astro A50 GEN4 Headset - Mod Kit - Ear Cushion/Ear Cups (Black)

My entire family has the Astro a50 wireless headphones. While I had tried theirs, I thought it was going to fit me just fine when I bought it. However the stock ear cuffs are just too small and uncomfortable for me. These however fit me perfectly, and I'm convinced if they were any smaller I would have the same issues as the stock. Knowing that, I have to slide off the left earpiece as I dock it for it to set in properly to charge. When I pull the headphones up, the earpiece naturally magnetically falls back into the correct place. To me the increase comfort and making my very expensive investment in the headset work properly is worth the very minor inconvenience of the minor adjustment when docking.

I had my doubts about these replacements, specially for 30$ (plus 10$ I had to pay for shipment to my country). However, I just tried them and all my doubts disappeared. They are INCREDIBLY comfortable, the material (it's velvet I think) it's super soft to touch and they actually have quite good noise cancelation (you can notice the difference by far if you were using the original cloth earpads from the A50s). Also I've seen some complains about not being able to place the headset on the base station to charge them, but you totally can, you just have to push them a bit closer and they start charging as usual. So long story short, if you have the original thin earpads, I strongly recommend buying these. Perfect match to complete the A50s.

The velour earcups are very, very comfy. Each cup is about 1/2 an inch thicker than the original pads, and I can comfortably have them on for hours at a time now with my glasses and not be discomfort. The included mic foam is a great addition to the headsets mic to help take the hiss off of your "S's" and whatnot. The included velour, and faux leather head rests are great too. I have been using the faux leather one, as it seems to keep the headset more properly stuck to the top of my head without it sliding off too easily. My only complaint with this kit is that with the ear cups being much wider than the originals, is that you have to take them off to fit the headset on the dock to charge them. The earcups were a breeze to install, and the magnets lined up perfectly with the headsets notches.

The pads constantly make a creaking sound from the adhesive that attaches the cushions to the plastic magnetic attachment. It’s really distracting. The comfort is fine but the quality control seems to be severely lacking.

Excellent product. Everything snaps in perfectly and seamlessly. These feel like a luxury spa for your ears and that goes a long way for serious gamers. ONLY small catch is they’re so fluffy that you need to play around with them while recharging on the Astro Base station. (Had to do that anyway with the standard pads so nothing dramatic.) FIVE Stars and worth the price.

The earpads are too bulky that once you put it on you can't charge it on the stand. The headband pieces were poorly constructed and uneven. Expensive for a third party product of such low quality.
