Banyuls is a very special ingredient and a wonderful addition to any pantry. My favorite use for Banyuls is salad dressing. Your guests will be delighted to enjoy this delicious flavor!

Products like this, often difficult to obtain in local stores, are what makes Amazon so valuable. I can't speak to the actual differences in process, but I think of Banyuls as standing in the same relation to Balsamic as Ripasso to Amarone -- i.e. a somewhat backed-off version that retains much of the depth and nuance of the 'original' with less intensity.

The transaction was smooth and the three bottles arrived right on schedule. The vinegar tastes really really good!

I've been trying to find a source for this since having it in a chicken sauce at TRU restaurant in Chicago. None of my local stores seem to even know what it is. For those of you wondering, the nearest thing I can use as a comparison is the French answer to balsamic.
