Was good while it lasted
I swear I have written a review for this twice already but it keeps disappearing. So I’m going to start with the good. When I first got this desk, I loved it. It’s got plenty of space so I can fit my laptop and still have space for other stuff. I sometimes use it to put papers or a bottle of water. It’s great. The size is definitely a plus. Recently I got a cute little desk fan and it plugs into my laptop and sits nicely on the desk. I love this.Speaking of fans, the desk has a built in fan that you simply plug into your laptop’s USB port and it keeps it cool. This is especially good for gaming computers that can get pretty hot pretty fast. This part of it works great and is easy to set up. Literally just plug it in and bam you’re done. The main issue I have is with the piece that attaches to the front of the desk to prevent your laptop from sliding off the desk if you have it lifted up and tilted down so you can use it while leaning back in bed or wherever. It comes off so easily. It’s just a piece of plastic with two little pegs that slide into two little holes on the desk. Sadly, the little pegs broke off really easily so now I can’t tilt the desk anymore. This essentially means I can only use the desk flat on the bed. Before I got this desk, I just used the box my laptop came in and it worked just fine. It didn’t have a fan but it did the job of keeping my laptop separated from my blankets or sheets (which I heard isn’t good for the computer) and honestly, my MacBook doesn’t get hot so it wasn’t an issue. But when I saw the desk, I thought it looked very cool and I liked the idea of being able to use it in different positions and different places. I’m really disappointed that this desk has now essentially become the same thing as just using a flat box.Another small thing I didn’t love is the that legs are kind of difficult to get stable. For some reason I always struggle to get it straight. The legs are adjustable so you can choose how high up you want it to be. Even when I lower them all the way to the lowest setting, the desk stands sideways, as if both legs are not the same length. So I always end up having to play around with the legs, moving them up and down a little bit to get them as close to stable as possible. This isn’t a huge deal but it was a bit annoying. Anyway, it doesn’t matter now because if I use the legs, my laptop will slide off.If not for the little piece of plastic that’s now broken, I would have given a higher rating. But as you can see in the photos I took, the piece is broken and so I can no longer use the legs to lift it up and tilt the desk. I guess for the price ($30 at time of this writing), it isn’t a bad desk. I can still use it just as a flat desk until I find a new desk to replace this one. If you decide to order this desk, just be careful with that plastic piece. It’s cheap and will break easily.Funny how something so small can really ruin the whole thing. I’ll probably either throw this away or give it to my son if he wants it. I plan to get myself a new desk and I’ll pay more attention to the parts that hold it together this time.

easy to adjust
Easy to adjust to different heights and angles. Comfortable to use. Definitely made for someone who is right handed. There is a bar on the left to hold the laptop in place when the top is at an angle and on the right there is a little wrist cushion that also helps hold a mouse in place. Both these pieces come out so it would be nice it they were interchangeable, but they aren't. Since I'm right handed it isn't a problem, but for others it might be.

Sturdy desk
I needed a lap desk for my computer. I have a 17 inch screen so I didn't want a desk that couldn't handle the size and weight of my laptop. This is perfect for my needs. It's sturdy and easy to store away when I'm not using it.

Very compact, perfect for small spaces
I love how compact this is, and how easy it is to adjust with the clips! It can store flat if you are not using it, so this is really nice if space is a premium. There is also a USB fan in the stand, which you can plug into your laptop to help cool it down. For how lightweight it is, it feels quite sturdy and does not wobble.

Nice laptop desk
This is perfect for using my laptop on the couch. No more hot lap and laptop fan kicking on. This is comfortable and easy to use.
