One (1) RPM Mirror Ball Motor - perfect
The mirror ball motor I got works great. I have a 20" mirror ball installed in a large basement room and my old 3 rpm motor was too fast. This motor is the perfect speed and operates with almost no noise. With any music or other ambient noise, it cannot be heard. This motor can handle up to a 20" (50cm) mirror ball. It also has a max load of 22 pounds (10kg).In the description at the top of the page, it states this a a 3 rpm rotator, which is incorrect. This motor is model number M-101HD from American DJ and is rated at .8 - 1 rpm. I tested mine at just under 1 rpm. There is a typo in the description, it should read 1 rpm. M-103HD is American DJ's 3 rpm mirror ball motor.

Just what I wanted!
The media could not be loaded. This hanger spins at the perfect speed to create that dreamy ballroom effect of the timeless disco ball. Changes directions when you turn it off/on and I am almost certain one direction is a little faster than the other, which is nice. I like that the hanging hook isn’t a chain, so it turns right away without having to wait for a chain to twist, and stops smoothly when turned off, has solid construction with a heavy cord, ideal for my full size vintage 1977 disco ball that weights 28 pounds! my only wish is that it had more versatile ways to hang it, or maybe include some sort of hanging hook, but otherwise perfect! If you need a motor for your disco ball I highly recommend spending a bit more for this one if you care about creating that retro ballroom effect as well as the sturdiness and safety. 5 stars! 🪩🪩🪩🪩🪩

Perfect Speed
We bought this to spin a 20” disco ball. At first I was looking for a spinner with different speeds but after watching some videos on YouTube and reading up on it a bit it turns out I like this better than any other speed option and someone pointed out that it is closer to the speed used back in the day. I think some of the faster spinning ones would cause motion sickness. One interesting thing to note is that it alternates spinning direction. If you plug it in and it spins clockwise and the next time you turn it on it will spin counterclockwise. Thought this might be helpful info. The direction doesn’t matter to me but my autistic son has a definite opinion on the way a disco ball should spin!

No brackets
It showed the hanging brackets in the photo. Does not come with the brackets. It does work great and built good. I'll give it a 4 star because the photo was a little deceiving. Still worth the money I payed for it.

clunk sound and staggers every half a turn, replacement works perfectly
annoying clunk sound and gear stagger every half rotation, not sure if it's normal or i just got a dud. i only have an ADJ 16" ball hanging on it, going to get a replacement and see if it gets betteredit: got a replacement from amazon, no noise, just beautiful rotation. looks like i got a dud the first time.

Pricier, but worth it. Only one slow enough if you want classic mirror ball speed.
Bought the Eliminator 1 RPM motor originally because it was cheaper. However, a 1.5 RPM arrived and it was actually closer to 2 RPM. Too fast and made you nauseous. This is the perfect speed. Bigger, more solid construction than others. Like that it doesn't have long chain, too.I like saving money, but worth paying more for this unless you're only going to use it once for a party.Pro Tip: To hang from a t-bar or lighting truss, unscrew the cover by removing the three small screws, drill a hole in the middle large enough to fit the screw from a C-clamp thru it, have the screw head with washer on it screwed all the way in on the underside of the cover and then put the cover back on. Attach C-clamp to the protruding screw and then attach C-clamp to t-bar or truss.
