I purchased this to use on both a platform and bike rack that I have for my hitch. I was locking a $10k powered paraglider (google it) to my platform with a bike chain combination lock. I also have an expensive carbon fiber road bike that I use on a hitch mounted bike rack. While locking up my equipment to the platform/bike rack will help deter and keep someone from stealing my stuff, it does nothing if someone simply takes out your hitch pin and steals your platform/bike rack with all of your equipment. All it takes is 2 guys, a pickup truck, and 3 or 4 minutes for your expensive equipment to be stolen. I purchased the Maser Lock Swivel Head Receiver Head lock and my problem is solved. I like that the key hole has a weather proof cover to keep water and dirt out. My only concern is the the key is sometimes difficult to get in and out of the lock. As the key is small, I am concerned that it will break off in the lock itself. Due to this, I am very careful and gentle. So far I have not had any problems and the lock works as intended.

My first time using something like this. As you can expect from master lock, quality is rock solid. Has good weight to hold the pieces together. It seemed to stick a little the first couple of times I used it, but that could be due to my experience with this kind of lock. Overall worth the price for protection.

Only lock I could find that fits in the 2024 tesla model y hitch due to the placement of the electrical outlet. Just barely fits and works great. The appearance is excellent as you don't really notice it. Probably not super durable as it's a masterlock and a cheap one but in this case it's the best I can get. Lock is a little finicky but five star for solving my problem.

Great when space is restricted. Couldn't fit most locks on my towbar because of design. Size and orientation of this means it fits neatly in space.

Schloss hat sich nach nur einem Winter trotz der Gummi-Abdeckung nicht mehr öffnen lassen. Nach viel WD40 und langem hin und her hat sich der Schlüssel endlich wieder ins Schloss stecken lassen. Aber das Schloss hat sich nicht mehr drehen lassen. Weder klopfen noch mehr WD40 noch sonst irgendwas hat geholfen. Nur noch der Bohrer der wie Butter durch das Schloss ist..... Keine Ahnung was da an Material verwendet wurde, gefühlt war es Kupfer und Alu.... Deswegen hat sich vermutlich auch nichts mehr gangbar machen lassen. Also absolut keine Kaufempfehlung, außer man lagert das Schloss im Winter und wenn es Nass is drinnen.
