Nice, but not the caliber of the jungle and under the sea books
First of all, this book appears to be a compilation from the following other books by Usbourne:- First Sticker Book Zoo- First Sticker Book Pets- First Sticker book Under the Sea- Sticker Book Animals- Sticker Book FarmHOWEVER, this book does NOT contain all of the sticker pages and stickers from those five books. Most of the cuts made sense, except I really wanted the snowy world page - I listed the missing pages at the end of my review. Here is what the book contains (with each listing being a two-page spread):- Lions and tigers- Elephants- In the Birdhouse- Penguin and Seals / The Reptile House- African Animals- Up In The Trees (formally titled Chimpanzees)- The Pet Shop- In the Park- At Home / Hamster house- Playing Outside- The Bird Cage- At the Stables- The shipwreck- Freezing waters- Coral Reef- Playful Dolphins- Underwater Forest- Snow and Ice- By the Seashore- In the Rainforest- Grassy plains- Dusty Desert- In the Farmyard- In the Fields- Baby Animals- Night Time- plus an extra baby animal puzzleHow we intend to use this book:- select an animal sticker and place in scene it belongs- discuss the characteristics of the animal/plant and make hypotheses about it- research that animal in an animal encyclopedia or online... maybe even watch some video of its behaviorUltimately the book It will serve as an introduction to the scientific method, how to research further knowledge, ecosystems, etc.Pros:1. Colors animals and plants realistically.2. Stickers are labeled for which page they go on (and some with their names.)3. No outlines of where the stickers go so the kids can creatively choose where to place them on the designated pages.4. Represents a variety of animals from invertebrates to marsupials.5. Most of the organisms are drawn cute but not overly cartoony (though some still are a tad too cutesy).Cons:1. Edges of the stickers are white which makes the animals not flow into the scenes they are placed into... this could have been prevented by having no borders on the stickers.2. Not a lot of info was provided on each animal or ecosystem so parents will have to put in the extra time with their kids researching info to get the best learning.3. When organism names are written on the sticker sheets, the names are not stickers themselves... so either the names get left behind or you have to cut them out by hand to stick onto the scenes. The names just should have been stickers too... and I think all of the animals should have been labeled with their names - it really helps kids learn naming and reading.4. There are a lot of duplicates of essentially the same animal, I would have preferred more diversity. I mean 16 chimps on the same page is overkill - there was a lot of other animals that could have been included in the tree tops from butterflies and birds to other species of monkeys. I understand in the zoo that the same animal is in the cage together, but do we really need both African and Asian elephants for a total of 13 elephants in the same scene?5. I really wanted this book to be complete and contain all the previous book pages in one spot, but it did not. That is a big con for me.6. I only bought this book because I loved the Jungle Sticker Book... and now I am thinking the Jungle book was probably the best in the series. What pages this book is missing of the original books:- From the zoo sticker book: the aquarium and children's zoo but that is ok because this book already covers sea creatures and pet/farm animals- From the pet sticker book: lots of fish and the pet show. I understand why those pages were left out as it was a bit redundant.- From the under the sea sticker book: on the seabed.- From the animal sticker book: snowy world - I REALLY wanted this as it showed polar bears and camouflaged rabbits etc. for the arctic.- From the farm sticker book: milking time, in the orchard, harvest time, and animal homes.Overall, we can use the book, but if I could go back in time though, I might have just got the individual jungle, farm, animal, and under the sea ones because I felt the zoo and pet ones were too redundant with animals so I would not have bought those if saw in person.

Lots of different scenarios and great for little fingers
I got this for my 18 month old as an activity to do whilst being in lock-down as a result of COVID-19. I wanted something that would support the development of her motor skills and teach her about her surroundings. This does both of those things. There are lots of different scenario pages at the front e.g. a pet shop, a park, a living room, zoo enclosures - then all of the corresponding stickers are at the back with page numbers on. There isn’t a set place for each sticker as such, just a set page. This was perfect because my daughter could stick the stickers wherever she wanted on the page whilst I explained to her what each thing was. She especially loves animals (which there are plenty of in this book). My only negative is that the sticker pages at the back aren’t perforated, so I ended up having to rip them out as best I could. You really need them to be handy when you have a demanding toddler rather than having to constantly flip to the back of the book. It also helps ensure they are using the corresponding stickers rather than any random stickers (unless you don’t mind that).

Provides hours of pleasure.
I bought this for my three-year-old great nice and she loves it. More importantly she is learning the names of all the animals and giving mum and dad some well-deserved respite.

Brilliant, loads of stickers
This is a superb sticker book for kids, there are absolutely loads of stickers in it, and will keep them going for ages. My one small gripe with it is that some of the pages and stickers are replicated from another Usborne sticker book, so if you've already got that (Zoo Animals I believe) then perhaps I wouldn't bother with this. Luckily, since my son is so young, he didn't notice, but I think older children would.

Hours of fun
I’m sure we’ve eked about 30 play sessions out of this book and we’re still not through all the stickers. My 3 and a 1/2 Year old loves it and is learning so much about the different habitats and why certain animals live where they do. It’s also given us valuable distraction time at the table whilst his big sister is doing her home schooling. Wish there was another bumper sized book like this on other themes. Brilliant value.
