So impressed. Quick and easy to use.
This kit is amazing. I saw a demonstration of one of these systems and thought it would be useful for a project I had. It totally fixed an expensive mower part and a nearly destroyed battery box. It has a nylon rope cutter that seals the ends as it cuts them. Five stars for sure. I got my money's worth on the first day. I will be using this for many years to come. After installing the wire "staples'' you need to remove the pins that connected the staples to the gun. They suggested that just bending them back and forth would break them off. No Bueno. They supply a pair of wire cutters to use if that doesn't work. They will cut the pins off, but since they are not flush-cut diagonal cutters they leave a significant amount of the pin exposed which is sharp and unsafe. I used a Dremel tool with an abrasive disc to cut them off flush which worked much better.

Yes, this is the welder you need
First off, I love that it comes with a carrying case and a form-fitting box for easy storage, otherwise I’d have parts everywhere. I like yellow color to distinguish from other tools. 100W is more than enough; staple gets red hot in <5 secs. Also cools just as quickly - big plus when storing away. The tiny tool-tip holes are slightly less wide than the metal staples so they stay in place even upside down. Worked flawlessly on my first application - broken swivel on headphones (son sat on them, 1st pic). 4 staples later and it’s solidly repaired, no wiggle after the 2nd staple (see photos). My only beef are the wire-cutting snips (aka “dikes”, for diagonal cutters) ) which are not flush to the bottom, so I used my pair (red, in photo). Since I’m buying the plastic stapler not the accessories, per se, I still give it 5-stars. You can get a flush-cut pair of dikes here: https://www.amazon.com/IGAN-P6-Precision-Clippers-Spring-loaded-Handmade/dp/B087P191LP/Tips for usage: (i) Welding goes quick, so mount the piece to be repaired leaving one free hand for welding. (ii) Have ventilation (fan) over the work area, as the plastic sends up an acrid smoke. (iii) After inserting, hold the work for 5-8 seconds while it cools. (iv) Seemed that the flat hot cleanup blade was a bit more risky; though I used it, I got better overall results with my Dremel as it grinds off sharp metal edges as well as smooths the plastic.Overall a most valuable addition - shout-out to Chickacanic on YouTube for her suggestion. This has the best features all-around.

Works Great! Only way to weld plastic!
I used this to mend a piece of broken plastic on my John Deere dump cart. I had already tried to JB welding it, but that failed instantly. Plastic is very hard, if not impossible to glue or epoxy. I ended up welding over 30 of these staples to join the broken off section to the main body. I then cut off the exposed staples with wire cutters, but it was difficult to get them flush and it left a bunch of sharp pointy hand stickers. I decided to grind them flat with an angle grinder and that worked really good since I really wasn't too concerned about the finished look, just function. To make it even stronger, I went back over the crack on both sides lightly with a propane torch to melt the plastic into the crack a bit. Turned out really well and greatly exceeded my expectations. It's not pretty, but it's solid. This is the only good way to weld plastic together in my opinion. I have since started going around and fixing every crack in anything plastic I have.

Great main tool, annoying choices around accessories
The tool itself is solid, especially for the price. It heats up the staples almost instantly, so you can make quick work of any project. However, the included clippers are one step above garbage. The cutters are beveled, so it's impossible to get anything close to a flush cut, so you wind up with these deadly sharp little points sticking up. I wound up hammering them down to reduce the chance of someone getting badly cut when working around the garbage bin top. It was pointless for the vendor to include them. I will likely toss them in the garbage after I buy a pair of good flush cuts. Additionally, I really don't like the fact that the staples now come in thin plastic bags that will not last.

Great plastic welder... just give it time to cool off in between jobs.
Great plastic welder! I have a butane torch version for small jobs but needed a plug-in version for a project for my wife's garden. This product heats up quickly and by using one of the three included tips, I was able to weld HDPE plastic easily. The light at the end of the welder tells you that it's still working and when it no longer lights up, the welder needs to cool down. The job we needed done required three buckets to be cut and plastic netting to be welded so it did stop working after about 30 minutes. Contrary to what others were saying about this product, I just let it cool down for an hour and continued working and was able to complete the job.Give it time to cool off and you will find this plastic welder works really well!! Highly recommend this product.

Worth every penny
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very nice kit. Needed this to kit a door card on a customers car. They broke it trying to change out the door handle. Door card was long out of production. But this tool did the trick. Customer is happy and I now can fix all kinds of broken plastic things. Come with ton of metal staples and a bunch of plastic rods for covering or building up repair areas.

Works great
I am pleased with the item. It does not look cheaply made and has a little weight to it. I tried it out and it heats up fast and does what it is supposed to do. I haven't had it shut itself off when it gets too hot yet, like I read about in the reviews. It does eventually start getting hot, but not too hot to hold. The product works well, but my welding is not very pretty yet. I guess it will take a little practice. Good item for the money.

So much better than a soldering iron.
I have been using a soldering iron and zip ties to repair plastics the last 20 years. The "staples" this uses to repair the plastic are just amazing. The smoothing tips are very flimsly and randomly fall off, but do work. I think I saw a brass smoothing tip available, so maybe I will look into that.
