Once assembled these are fairly sturdy I'm 20st and use them in my house for crafts,cleaning as I can't bend down so sitting on this makes it easy as they have quite a lot of hight adjustments, I've just purchased my third one

In its lowest position it just about fits under my partner's dressing table. A little hard to sit on, but for our usage it's fine.
