The Early Reader Series: 6 Book Set Paperback – June 1, 2012

We have been doing Waldorf at home with our son for almost 2 years now. Everything has been geared toward reading readiness. These books have a list of words in the back including sight words, which is very helpful. My son was able to read these books fairly easily with very little help, which was perfect since it was one of his first official reading experiences. What a sense of accomplishment he had as he finished each book. The stories are adorable, and the illustrations (black and white) are beautiful. They are in a specific order with the easiest one first that starts exactly where we started in learning words.

These are ok and do the job, but they're nothing special. The price you pay is for a 'waldorf inspired' reader, but its no better than the rest.

There is something kindof magical about these books even though they are incredibly basic. They are perfect for a beginner reader who has just learned the basic sounds of the letters. My daughter begged me to buy this for her after she read it in her Waldorf classroom, because she said it was so cute and she could read it!

I bought these book for my son on the recommendation of his first grade teacher. They arrived yesterday and he made his way through the first one with only a little help. He even liked the word lists at the back of the book. He can't wait to tackle the rest but I am keeping it slow to keep him eager.

my son LOVES these and so do I. They have funny little story lines that make us laugh and really build his confidence in his reading ability. Awesome. I was skeptical that they could be worth the price tag but they really are special and I am so glad to buy them.

It's fine, just overpriced in my opinion. Bob Books are just as good and cheaper. I wish I could have looked at them before because I wouldn't have spent so much on them.

The first books my son read, and he still has affection for them.These are lovely and simple. The perfect first readers. We are Waldorf influenced homeschoolers, and these were just perfect for our needs.

They are sweet stories and definitely great for an early reader but the illustrations are in black and white....I am unsure why, especially for the price. They were obviously done in color so not sure why printed in b & w. So I like them but not sure my kids will love as much.

I read my son the first book once and then he successfully read his first book. These are phonetic books with simple but sweet stories and pictures
