Do you have to cycle all the light options to turn it on and off?

No. Simply clicking once turns it on and off. If you are having trouble turning it on you may be in lockout mode. It takes a quadruple click to engage and also disengage the lockout (this can be tricky). I assume lockout is to keep the flashlight from being turned on while in a pocket or bag. Once the flashlight is not locked its operation is fairly easy. Long press (1second) for the dimmest mode or simply Click once to turn on. The last used of three brightness setting will be on. Once on, click and hold down the button to cycle through brightness levels. Double click rapidly (tricky) to engage or disengage turbo mode (turbo mode should not be used for more than 10 consecutive minutes at a time due to over heating). Triple click to put flashlight into strobe mode, once in strobe mode a single click and hold will cycle to the next strobe setting. Trying to access strobe mode can sometimes get you into lockout mode since lockout mode requires only one more click and lockout mode flashes 3 times before setting in which can mislead the user into thinking they have engaged strobe mode. Then the flashlight wont come on until another quadruple click.

My lens seems to have a rattle to it when shaken, anyone else have this experience?

Just got mine today and mine does too, there's a screw that is rattling around under the lens. You might have the same issue.

I am on my second light and this one as well as the first one will not come on even after 2hr of charging. Will come on when plugged in

I had the same problem, I unscrewed the flashlight, and checked the battery and then rescrewed the flashlight back together and it worked! It seems that the flashlight it not screwed together tightly upon shipment and the customer needs to do it upon opening up there flashlight for the first time. Hopes this helps, it did for me!

What are the brightness levels ? Does it really have six modes ?

Yes it really does have six modes with the highest being turbo

Amazing mini torch. Build quality is great, and so is the feature set. Too expensive in the UK, you can buy this torch in the USA for 45 dollars, half the price.

Several things to note about this mighty little flashlight. First, its beam is ridiculously bright and will light up things a football field away. Second, it's tiny. Third, it charges on USB-C...but only USB-C that is USB to USBC. When the battery ran out, I tried to charge it via my Macbook Pro's USB-C charging cable. No dice. I reached out to ThruNite customer support, and they'd clearly seen the issue before. Got back to me within hours, explained the problem clearly, and that I should use the charging cable (other USB to USB-C cables work as well). So now I'm back to lighting up stuff way down the street while walking the dog.

If you want something different for your tours n travelling...then you should buy it... M totally satisfied from this "tiny miny torch light" product... Don't think twice just go it..n buy it Believe me...

Man does this thing throw some light! Very tight focused beam with almost no spill its like a white laser. It's not for everyone but living in a urban area I like being able to light up something at a distance without having any spill. It's not very practical for edc but definitely has its place. Awesome battery life and love the usb c charging port. I've yet to run it down far enough where it takes very long to charge it back up to full. I was finally able to really test its capabilites to the fullest by heading up to a lookout point at a local lake where there is almost no light pollution. I was absolutely amazed at how far it throws. It was actually able to reach the other side of the spillway. I only have two gripes and that is I wish they sold an 18650 battery tube not necessarily for better battery life but it would make it easier to hold...its slightly awkward because it's so short. I definitely recommend the lanyard it comes with. The other is there is a small amount of parasitic drain caused by the user interface. If you are regularly using and charging it this won't be an issue but if you plan to charge it and leave it in your car for a month and decide you need it this isn't the light for you. It's a very small amount of drain and wouldn't be an issue unless it's been a couple weeks. Overall super happy with this one!
