A must have for crafters
I use this to laminate my craft instructions. Keeps them clean and in great condition. Great for protecting recipes as well. Easy to use.

I use this even in my cricut
I've been using this since they first came out with them... Here are some pros and cons Pro: Major price drop. When the cartridges first came out, magnets, laminates and specialty ones were super super expensive. 99 dollars and up and the sticker ones for the largest machine.. almost as much. Now they are more adorable and comparable to printing on magnetic sheets, dollar for dollar. What I mean is, I can print my images on card stock or paper and put through my zxyron machine and I have it protected with a gloss finish on top and the magnet on bottom. I'm not trying to cut, and laminate without wrinkles. Pro.. I can also have it go through my cricut cutter. Now the are a few extra things to know ..I use a setting that does a double cut and I don't remove it from the cutter but instead hit the cut button again so the magnet sheet is being cut with 4 passes through. Also, I use a used up mat with very good tape. (I have tried using a brand new mat but the magnet sheet still wouldn't stay attached, but I also didn't have the heavy duty cutting mat). I tape where the blade will not be cutting to hold the magnetic sheet down. I also watch it carefully going through my cricut machine just in case one of the magnets does come free. Pausing to remove the loose magnet, easy and quick. Letting the machine just continue to cut can be expensive when there is limited amount on the roll to begin with. Pro: because I am putting my printer page through the xzyron machine to make magnets, my image is getting that clear laminate cover on top that protects my image. (And I didn't create wrinkles). Yes I need to place mat tape over my registration marks and then use a black sharpie to redraw the marks, it is still simpler, less work and takes less time and less money wasted. Now sadly there are just a few cons.. 1.. is love to see more than just 10 feet on the roll as some of it gets wasted being struck to the cardboard tube inside. It isn't much, but every little bit counts. 2.. maybe give a choice of gloss or matte finishes. Any maybe even some holographic laminates? (I'll even give them a try). So honestly folks. My first zxyron was the small orange letter Z. I used that and abused that and wow, I still have it today I do believe unless I finally gifted it to a friend in need. But I still have 2 more of the smaller ones.. I love them! Great for kids, teens, and scrapbookers and do much more! (I have the hand held punches to punch out children shapes with clothes, hair, mittens and etc and I would create sticker sets for the kids to play with and for my scrapbook to represent my kids). I then swallowed that hard pill and shelled out the money to get the biggest machine they made out on the market. One of the true originals in they blue and gray colors. (I would have loved having the choice of the colors they have now, but back then it was just the one standard color choice, if that tells you how long ago I got this big one). So when I say the prices were expensive, the repositionable and permanent sticker rolls for the big machine were 90 dollars at the now closed craft store.. and the magnetic and laminate rolls were much more. They eventually went down in price to 99 dollars but yeah it was still a dream to actually get any of those.. just what was needed. Then I find in goodwill the laminate and the magnetic still in a sealed box for 99 cents each on a half price sticker day. I paid a dollar for the both together! Now I'm hooked! Oh I still look on goodwill but to no avail.. lol so I am thankful Amazon does sell the refills! Thrilled! Honestly, if this company could even do holographic laminate and holographic magnetic, I think they would have a while new line of customers! (Because this is 9 inches long by 10 feet, I would actually trim some of the top and bottom of the page and put it through so that you are using more of the magnetic/laminate sheet. I didn't and wasted a lot from the sides. Shame on me for not thinking earlier).

Perfect for Save the Dates
We used this for our wedding's save the dates. We had a photo shoot and used the pictures to design our own save the dates, had them printed at one of those big stores, and ran them through the Xyron with the magnetic backing. We ran two at a time, side by side, cutting only after 10 were run through (to save magnet) and it worked beautifully! Maybe 10% of the finished ones had issues, but the rest were perfect or nice enough to send out anyway. We had a ton of compliments about these save the dates, our family and friends surprised to hear that they were homemade. My now husband wanted to leave a small border around the pictures, but they look excellent when cut along the edge, and have held up perfectly. Make sure you're not pulling anything too hard or you'll throw off the alignment and ruin the roll and most of your magnets. Very easy to use and good quality.

Works with the old school Creative Station, but plastic not as clear/clean as the original laminate.
Full disclosure: I own an old school 9" Creative Station (see first pic), sold and purchased by me before the latest redesign. I like the unit and still have some of the cartridges I purchased when I bought it. I recently used the last of my lamination plastic, and required a replacement. I was hoping for similar quality to the originally sold 40' lamination rolls. I chose to purchase these 60' rolls instead of purchasing the shorter (more expensive) 40' rolls (presumed: Xyron 0902-01-40). The good news: The cartridges fit properly in the dispenser and seem to be a suitable replacement for the Xyron 0902-01-40. The unit appears to be dispensing the laminate and applying it properly to the paper. When the paper is properly fed into the unit, and the roller decides it's going to be kind and forgiving, the lamination it provides is decent. Not excellent, but decent. When good enough is good enough, this solution may be good enough. The bad news: There are a number of issues with this product. I cannot confirm whether these problems are avoidable by buying the 0902-01-40 (or any other product). First, the plastic is not as good as the original roll plastic/laminate. Look closely at the second picture I have attached. Note the inherent "watermark" design of the plastic. These markings do not disappear when you laminate, in both non-paper and paper regions. Second, The rolls are seriously off center to the placement of the cartridge and they do not align well with the intake tray of the machine. Take a look at both the second and third picture I have attached. I think these show best how the rolls are not properly centered in the cartridge. To be fair, the unit does indicate that paper should be moved flush with the opposite side (a fact that I did not realize until I made this replacement, as the original laminate rolls were either more properly centered and/or (more likely) wider than the full 9" span). I suspect the amount of plastic was decreased in the recent past (perhaps at redesign) to shave off enough plastic to squeeze one more set of rolls out for every 10 or 20 produced. Regardless, paper spanning the entire infeed surface or actually centered thereon, risks being misaligned during lamination. Uncool. As a result, I have tried to adapt to placing the to-be-laminated-paper 3-5mm, 0.1875", 3/16 inch from the edge and hoping for the best (that is, straight and proper paper feed). The ugly: The clarity and cleanness of the plastic and final product is very disappointing. I cannot confirm that the 0902-01-40 plastic would be cleaner; I suspect it may be, justifying the higher cost. Luckily, these rolls will work well for less important laminating, but I am disappointed that the quality of these rolls does not match the quality of the original rolls purchased many, many moons ago. In the end, these units will work in your (old school) 9" Creative Station roller/laminator/adhesive device at a lower price per foot of laminate. If you are concerned with clarity of the plastic, and even potential damage to encased paper, do your homework by purchasing the different rolls and testing for yourself, and pick one you KNOW you be comfortable with.
