Plantronics Headset for S10, T10 and T20, Black - 45647-04

This is a great, affordable headset for use with VOIP phones that have an RJ-9 connector instead of a standard 2.5 or 3.5 mm headset jack. I have a Polycom phone, and I'm able to use this headset without any sound quality or volume issues. Despite warnings to the contrary, the headset works fine without the associated Plantronics amplifier.It's hard to find headsets compatible with the RJ9 plug type (a smaller version of the standard phone line plug), especially at this price. If you're in the market, go for it! I only half expected this to work, so I was very pleasantly surprised.

What a piece of junk. When I ordered a plantronics headset, I expected to get a quality piece of equipment, but I got the exact opposite.First, before I even put the headset on my head, I noticed that the microphone swivels WITH the speaker. This means that to adjust the mic to your mouth, you must also adjust the speaker on your ear. It becomes annoying to have to do this. You can't just adjust the mic like you can on most other headsets.Then I got it hooked up to the phone. First thing that happened is that literally nobody can hear me. I adjusted some settings on the phone and increased the mic volume, but it made no difference at all. There's two reasons for this. With the over-the-head option, the mic is like 15 miles from my mouth, and you can't bend the mic to get closer to your mouth. Even the cheapest of pieces of crap are capable of this. Second, even with the over-the-ear option, it's close to my mouth, but the pickup is still awful. Nobody can hear me until I put the microphone IN MY MOUTH. Once it's in my mouth, people can hear my damn stomach growling, but my voice still isn't as loud as it should be.Needless to say, I'll be returning this worthless headset. I have a $5 headset that I bought a couple months, but it creates a little bit of buzz to the person on the other end. However, even with that buzz, I can hear them clearly, and they can hear me crystal clear. I guess I'll go back to the cheap piece of crap, and steer clear of Plantronics products. What a joke.

Bought one of these while waiting for my work to approve a real headset purchase. It is no-frills and it gets the job done, but I would NOT pay full price for it. The cord is long enough to get to a phone that is nearby, but if you have an executive-size desk with your phone in the corner, you may be straining.

Overall this is a great unit, I LOVE that it is an all in one phone/headset, no connections to worry about, just plug in your wall jack and go. The buttons are clear, large and work well and I have no issue with the cord length. I would have ranked five stars but the headset may be slightly flimsy but unless I'm careless should hold up well and I also wish I had more control over the ringer volume. As for other reviews that mention buzzing I have not experienced any. I am using this unit to work from home in a call center position and am very happy with this product and would suggest it to anyone needing a corded phone/headset.

I didn't want to spend big bucks for the occasional convenience of being hands free without using the speaker phone at work. This is perfect. I plug it into the jack that the handset normally plugs into. (It's a minor inconvenience, but the only way my particular Avia phone let's me use it.) I use one of the three ear pieces (each a different size so you can choose) instead of the head band. Either approach is very comfortable and stays put. My colleagues tell me the sound quality of my voice is very good, and the sound quality to my ear is also good.

I purchased this as a replacement for my current plantronic t-10 Telephone system that I have had for nearly 8 years. The microphone on the original headset had cracked and being held together by duct tape. I work from home, and if that microphone was to ever completely break off, I would be out of work for several days before I would be able to get a replacement. The only thing I was really worried about is whether it was the correct input for my phone, as the picture nor description really gave details. I was the correct jack. I plugged it in, it worked perfectly. I threw my crippled headphones in the trash. The shipping was super fast. I received it in 2 business days even though it was not a Prime shipping item. I am back in business!

My preference for a headset is over-the-head and with only one ear cover so I chose this one.It works great and is perfectly comfortable. It would be nice if there was a volume control with mute option like some headsets do, but the phone has those controls. The clip that attaches to the cord did come off and maybe someday I will find where it flew off to, but it didn't fit very well to the cord for it to have come off on first use. That's not enough for me to rate this product down, though, because this is perfect for me as far as fit and flexibility as well as functional performance. Very good value.

The unit did not work when I received it...Totally forgot that I could return it as some issues in other areascame up and I had forgotten about this headset.
