I’m the opposite of a morning person, have been since I was a kid. I’m a “hit the snooze button for an hour” kind of person. My new secret for getting down to 2 button presses: as soon as the alarm goes off, I roll over and take the 5 hour energy shot, hit the snooze button a couple times, and I’m ready to go! Don’t need coffee in the morning, and I can make it through the whole workday no problem! Even with my thyroid disorder I don’t get the shakes or crash with this. Magic in a bottle! And it’s so much cheaper to buy in bulk!

Years ago I commuted to Houston from Dallas every week. I'd take off early morning Monday then return home late Friday afternoon. Because my weeks were so hectic, I would rarely get the rest I needed until the weekend but one thing I didn't want to do was drive home tired and fall asleep at the wheel. I quickly learned that if I took a 5 hour energy drink about 30-45 minutes before I left, I'd be energized all the way back to Dallas. I really like these five-hour energy drinks. I used to drink coffee when driving long distances but now I just drink one of these and I feel great. I don't have to stop to use the bathroom! There are no caffeine jitters. These is no crash. One bottle only lasts about 3-4 hours for me, but I am a big guy, 280 lbs. It does have a very high level of the B vitamins though.

As a longtime veteran of working in places that operate around the clock, I'm familiar with most tricks of the trade for succeeding in the unnatural act of staying up all night. And while nothing will help you if you don't get most --or all-- of the sleep you need, little things can help. Back in the day there was coffee and soda and not much else. Now there are dozens of products that will claim to offer the boost you need. During a 12-hour overnight shift, I usually take one of these with a meal about halfway through. Doing so seems to get me over that middle of the night hump. Sometimes I'll take a second just before heading home to share the road with all the "normal" drivers. These are low in caffeine and calories. The taste will be familiar to you from cough syrup bottles. But the volume is mercifully small so you don't have to endure it long. Overall, these seem to help me through the doldrums of long shifts!

5 hour energy is good product. Don't like new flavors. This product is safe, I checked with 2 Dr.'s and both approved. It has about a large(Starbucks tall size) cup of coffe = caffeine, does not give you jitters like some. The energy comes from B12, niacin, B6. Highly recommend when you need a pick me up. No more than 2 a day.

This is perfect for me for the times that I get that low-energy feeling. It's 4 calories, about 5 sips, and the Pomegranate is actually pretty good. The Berry isn't bad either. Amazon Marketplace has a great price on this product - much better than in a grocery store. My brother has been using it for years and works very well for him too.
