Bose QuietComfort 45 Bluetooth Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Triple Black

4 things I like about these headphones: Super comfortable, great sound quality, great noise cancellation and great battery life. I’m an ups driver and I wear these sometimes when delivering so I can stay up to date on my favorite podcasts/music etc. My truck is typically really loud so the noise cancellation feature is really helpful with these. One underrated thing about noise cancellation is it allows me to listen at what I call a healthy volume, not to the max like AirPods. Battery life will typically last me 2-3 days without charging but I charge them daily. I’d say playing time on a full charge is at least 20hrs maybe more. Comfortability is great. I’ve worn these for 10hrs straight before while hopping in and out of my truck all day and never experienced any discomfort whatsoever. My girlfriend also wore them while running a 10k and said they were excellent. All in all I’m fully satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality pair of noise cancelling headphones. I’ll probably never go back to using regular headphones again lol

I got these because they supposedly had decent noise canceling, and they were light weight. The noise cancelling is pretty good, and you can't really hear much at all if you have music on, but you can still hear everything (just muffled) with no sound playing. Which is ideal for me, and something I really like about this product. They are also not that heavy, and don't give me awful headaches like a lot of headphones do. The sound quality is also GREAT. The only downsides are that the mic is a little quiet, and you won't be able to be heard over the phone on a windy day. And they aren't super tight on my head, so they do fall off easy if you're doing even light jogging. They also connect to your devices pretty quickly, especially if you use the same device over and over. The only problem is when someone decides to borrow them, and then it has to test that connection first the next time you pick them up. Even WORSE if they're in the room because they will constantly connect to that device haha. That being said, I use these at my desk, and to walk to class all the time. The battery lasts ages (although it does take a little while to charge), and they're super comfortable. The case also keeps them nicely packed, and they are much sturdier than they look. I usually just put them around my neck to leave the house, and honestly I have had no problems with that in terms of wear. I've had them for a little over a year now, and I use them just about every day, and they are showing ZERO signs of wear or tear. I would HIGHLY recommend these.

Used these headpones a few times and they are awesome!! The sound is amazing!! They have two modes, Quiet and Aware. Aware allows you to hear your surroundings while you have music playing, which is nice when you are out in public and need to be aware of your surroundings. Quiet mutes all surrounding noises. And Quiet works wonders!! I have been looking for true noise canceling headphones and these are best. I can't hear Anything! Someone next to me had to actually yell almost at the top of their lungs before I finally heard them. Finally blissful quiet. I'm in heaven. Used the phone call feature and heard the other person fine. One issue i did find was that all of a sudden there was static noise in the right ear phone. It wasn't interference or anything like that. I could still hear music, there was just loud static when it was on Aware. I troubleshooted and nothing helped - turned it on/off, disabled features, changes settings, turned off Bluetooth and multi point access, everything, nothing worked and I was still hearing static during Aware mode. Finally, not having anything else to lose, I took a page of age old advice from my parents/grandparents era and gave it the old tried and true light smack to the outside cover and it fixed itself. I can't believe it actually worked! No more static. Go figure! So glad I didn't have to return these.

I am trying to give here the kind of info I would have wanted while shopping. In addition to looking for headphones that meet my audio needs, I am also blind and wanted a good description since I could not see the photos. I have been a Bose user for many years, first wired headphones, then SoundLink,, then bought the QC 35 for my stepdaughter and then the NC700 for myself. I replaced my NC 700 headphones with QuietComfort 45 and I am quite happy. The QC 45 are over-ear headphones (cups that fit over the entire ear). The band goes over your head and the part that touches your head is rubbery in texture, not slick like the NC 700. This is a definite improvement. It retains the noise cancelling ability but the headset won't fly off your head if you move quickly. The controls for the QC45 are all buttons and switches--a huge plus! I won't be accidentally hanging up on people or anything else. Also, blind people hate the touch controls. Thank you, Bose, for bringing back the buttons! The Bose Music app is also much improved! There are no more unlabeled buttons! In the app, the tips are very descriptive and will provide all the help one needs to know which controls do what. If you have owned the old Soundlink model, the controls are exactly the same. These headphones fold just like the old Soundlink model. This is also a major advantage for me over the NC700. I have found the sound quality to be improved over the NC 700. I should say that I have a hearing loss and I may simply prefer this headset to the other. I think the NC 700 may be better at producing base, so keep this in mind if you have a strong preference for particular sound quality. On the other hand it is also possible to change the settings via the EQ in the music app. Some reviews are mentioning a radio-type sound. This happened when I tried to pair with a PC, specifically if I tried connecting to "headset" instead of "headphones". I have paired with my phone through the music app first, then had the music app place the headphones in pairing mode and set my PC to search for devices. I am having no trouble with sound quality. The only thing I personally wish is that these were on-ear headphones. I don't actually like over-ear products but I also don't like earbuds. It's not something to mark them down for, just a personal preference.

I am going to have to go with the QC45's for noise canceling but the Sony is better on sound. Much better. I am writing this review because I really struggled with which pair to buy. Ended up trying both, so I hope this helps others who are on the fence. First it is worth noting that I had to return the Sony's because they hurt my ears. There is something somewhat pointy behind the cloth and it kept pressure on my outer ear. Got really uncomfortable after wearing for 15 minutes or so. Also, there was something wrong with the Bluetooth. The sound was lacking and hollow like you were listening in a barrel. It only did this over Bluetooth, not when using the cord. For these reasons I returned them. I read all the reviews that were available on the QC45 and they all basically said the same thing. Noise canceling is awesome. Sound quality is lacking - especially the base. I can definitely confirm this is true. Having compared both headsets in the same listening conditions and same music, it is very obvious. First, the QC45 noise canceling is just better. It muted out my droning refrigerator whereas the Sony didn't quite do as well. Don't get me wrong, though, the Sony noise canceling is excellent. The QC45 is just a little better. I can also confirm the QC45 has a slight "white noise" sound when the room is quiet. But it does not bother me and is no worse than my previous JVC noise canceling headphones. It is actually kinda soothing. I can confirm that there is more room in the QC45s. They do not hurt my ears. I am not having the weird hollow sounding Bluetooth issues on the QC45 that I experienced with the Sony's. But when it comes to listening to music, this is where the Sony's do a much better job. I want to be clear that the issue for me is primarily the lack of base. I know I read this was an issue, but I expected that the QC45s would still have good base, and it was the brain thumping base folks who were the ones commenting it was lacking base. I suspected it might be just fine for my needs. I have to be honest here folks.... the base is just NOT there. Its just not. Not only is the base not there, the folks at Bose definitely tune these on the bright side. The treble is just a little too high for me at the volume I like to listen at. You can turn the volume down and this subsides, but that is a poor way to have to deal with headphones that are tuned just one way - bright. Bose really blew it here. The lack of base at the bright highs could have been easlily solved if I could have adjusted them via the Bose app....but no, the marketing folks had to make them look like the "cheaper model" compared to the 700's. Wake up Bose. Nobody likes the same kind of sound. An equalizer is an absolute must. You are and will continue to lose business on the QC45's unless you release an upgrade that allows QC45 folks to access the same type of equalizer that the 700 folks have. Just sayin...... The other annoying things for me are the inability to quickly check the battery life and the music pause when you remove the headphones. The Sony's let you check battery life with a quick button push. I used this feature all the time. Not so on the QC45's. You have to log into your phone app to see this. Well this does no good when you are working on your laptop. Switching back and forth between laptop listening and phone listening was a bit more seamless and easy on the Sony's, too. The music pause that was available on the Sony's turned out to be really useful. I found myself taking the headphones on and off a lot during the work day. Pausing whatever was streaming was great. That great feature is missing on the QC45's. Overall I have to say both were great. My advice is go with the QC45 if noise canceling is most important. Go with the Sony's if the sound quality is more important.

Best over ear noise canceling headphones I’ve tried. Great sound, really good noise cancellation and lightweight. For me they are a must for air travel. I even use them on my computer for meetings sometimes. You can get them at a discount if you are patient. But worth the price. I’ve had them for 3 years and use them regularly.

I was hesistant to purchase the new 45's after reading the reviews. After years of using Quiet Comfort 35 ii's, I can safely say these have better sound quality. No doubt about it, using these back to back with a pair of 35's, these were significantly better. Were they massive better? I would say easily better sound, not massively better sound. With the high's of the 45's you hear more, you here more sound, more crisp highs, and that's where the difference is. Bass was the same between the two headphones, the difference is the highs. The quality of the head phones is a bit better all around too, better buttons, better head cushion, no Bose emblem to damage or rub off. Bluetooth 5.1 way way better than 4.0. I can listen to these headphones from severall rooms away, in comparison, 35's are not reliable from only 15 to 20 feet away. Even if everything with the 35's and 45's were equal (which they are not), the bluetooh 5.1 is massive upgrade over 4.0. Only negative, is using two devices at once, I have some problems with the headphones from transitioning to one device to the next. That's possibly because other devices I am using are not bluetooth 5.1 (but are 4.0). That's really the only negative about these headphones. Easily forgiven, since everything else on these headphones is superior. Also, USB C, much faster charging is nice, easy to connect over mini USB. Noise canceling is way way better. Cannot even hear a person next to you when listening to music at a decent volume level. Bravo Bose, Bravo!!! I was highly skeptical at first, wasn't going to purchase... Glad I did. Highly recommend over 35 ii's, worth the extra money easily. I couldn't even go back to the 35's after using these.
