unreliable
Product has proven unreliable. Rocket nano is not always recognised by windows. Sometimes you are lucky and nano is visible, other times you need to remove the usb (risking data damage) and plug it again crossing fingers. It gets more recognised by usb c vs usb 3.1. This is the main reason I decided to return the product. Speed is also unreliable, its peaks depend on your hardware, in my case it went above 350MB/second, however its random reading and writing is really ugly and goes as down as few bunches of KB/second. Its third issue was immediately noted, as soon as you move or copy significant amount of data it heats significantly, and this probably affects its performance too

Fastest & Smallest External Drive yet tested.
I have used several external drives with different enclosures. Using this for running VMs on it while connected with USB-C. Didn't have any issue. Speed tested with CrystalDiskMark shows 901MB/s, which is fastest speed as compared to other drives I have used. The outer cover gets warm when using it continuously which I think is normal as it didn't affect the drive performance. Will update the review, if encounter any issue.

Great products and super fast delivery
I live in Al Ain and purchased 2 items through Store4pc-MEast on Amazon. They were delivered 1 day after ordering - amazing.Item 1 was a Sabrent 2.5" Sata Hard Drive/SSD to USB 3.1 Adapter which I purchased to hook up a Samsung 860 QVO 4TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD as an external HD for a mid-2015 MacBook Pro, after other adapters had failed. This Adapter worked like a gem with this SATA drive. It came with a great little manual and, as soon as it was connected to the MacBook it was recognized by Disk Utility through which I reformatted and began using the 4TB straight away.Item 2 was the Sabrent Rocket Nano 2TB External Aluminum SSD. It's a nifty little drive you can take anywhere and came with an invitation to extend warranty to 2 years.I can recommend both products and will definitely return to this seller.

The best & Most Compact External SSD!
The SSD actually very impressive on speeds on my 16" MacBook Pro.The size is very small and the design is simple but it stands out!Sometimes the SSD will get warm when I transfer very big files to or from it.

Read completely its a lot of money
The reviews on this product were good. Transcend is known as a reliable company. Started adding files after few days. After adding 1 TB of data Windows gave an error saying drive needed to be checked and repaired. Did this twice and finally gave up. I reformatted the drive to its original settings. Again the error message appeared again.I contacted Sabrent and received a reply after one day. My message was very detailed, their reply was over-simplified, "Connect drive directly to PC". Did not solve the issue. I need to use a hub since I'm moving data from another external drive to the Rocket. I connected it to the hub using a USB-A instead of a USB-C connection. Windows still gets the error but now its says repair worked. If I run check disk it finds errors every time. I sent my findings to Sabrent again. Its been six days without a reply. Checked The site and my ticket was closed. After receiving a request for info from another Amazon user, I checked for warranty information. Could find no reference on Amazon or Sabrent's site that refers to warranty duration.

Small, sleek, rather slow | Large file transfers are nowhere near the advertised "up to 1000MB/s"
2TB Sabrent Nano (SB-2TB-NANO-BLK)- A tiny, high-quality enclosure (JMS583).- Sabrent 2242 m.2 NVMe SSD DRAM-less, Low-Power (Phison E13T).- Very good synthetic benchmarks results (Crystal Disk Mark 7 attached).- The device does get warm but it does not thermal throttle.- Real-world transfer speeds are a LOT slower than with a decent 2280 m.2 NVMe SSD + separate enclosure.- Sabrent's DRAM-less m.2 slows down a lot as soon as cache is exhausted.- Also some connectivity issues with my AMD X570 motherboard (probably due to JMS583).I did a real-world file transfer (863 files across 48 folders, total of 245GB | 1TB Samsung 970 Pro OS drive ):Write to: Asus Arion + 2TB Adata SX8200 Pro | 4m 57s | 844.71 MB/sWrite to: 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nano | 9m 02s = 542s | 462.88 MB/sRead from: Asus Arion + 2TB Adata SX8200 Pro | 5m 07s = 307s | 817.20 MB/sRead from: 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nano | 7m 44s = 464s | 540.69 MB/sI got the Asus Arion and 2TB Adata SX8200 Pro at about the same price as the Sabrent Rocket Nano 2TB. The Asus enclosure is heavier and larger, but that is the only downside. No connectivity issues, SSD runs a little cooler, but as with the example above, performs 82% faster in large writes, and 51% in large reads! Since I copy a lot from and to the external drives often... As nice and sleek as the Sabrent Nano is, the alterntive with a 2280 m.2 makes a lot more sense. If you only ever copy a couple Gigabytes at a time, this will be less relevant to you.Unless you MUST have one of the smallest NVMe enclosure, do consider alternatives. I am returning this to use the Asus enclosure and the Adata SSD. Most probably even a 2280 Sabrent enclosure and 2280 Sabrent m.2 will do a lot better than the Sabrent Rocket Nano, but I have not tested this. Again, this will very likely give you much better real-world file transfer performance for larger datasets. If you copy any set of data beyond about 20-25GB (ish), the device will slow down to transfer at around 450MB/s write and 550MB/s read in my case. Also if you have X570, maybe also find enclosures with alternative controllers to the JMS583. I have had zero issues with either ASM2362 or RTL9210 based enclosures (e.g. Asus Arion, Orico M2PJM-C3).

Not Working At All
I normally do not write reviews, but I find the need to warn about this item.It does not seem to work at all and freezes up windows explorer. I tried it several times on three different machines with OS Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10 Pro using all the available connection cables. It 'times out' (whatever that means) at best and becomes inaccessible, otherwise it seems to bloc windows explorer as a whole.I even tried to reformat it, which also does not work. Anything that is suppose to access the drive takes something around 5 minutes before it comes back and then freezes. So in short straight into the bin. Very disappointing.

1TB version, Great, but.....
My experience is only for the 1TB version. For some reasons none of the reviews perform actual real world transfers. In CrystalDiskMark you can see read/writes at 900+ MB/s, but:In the real world, you are looking at 500MB/s to 550MB/s writes copying a large file, assuming you are using a GEN2 port.Reads were generally a little higher at 600MB/s to 750B/s.When connecting using GEN1 you will max out at 400MB/s.I found read/writes were sustainable even when copying 500+ GB in one go. Its gets warm, but not worryingly so.These speeds are still great, but bear this in mind when comparing to other options. This is a USB-C device, not a thunderbolt device.Build quality it above excellent. Packaging is so good you do not want to throw it away. The only issue I had, which may be due to my computer, was that when I swapped between the USB-C port and USB3.1 port on the same computer, the device needed the drivers to be removed, otherwise it only transferred at USB2 speeds.

Really disappointed for the cost of the drive
Really disappointed with this SSD drive. It claims high speeds but when trying to copy a large amount of data the speeds drop to almost nothing. Also when trying to export video projects from premiere pro to this drive it stops and causes my computer crash and need a forced reset. I'm returning this to amazon and have bought a Sandisk SSD which works perfectly.
