Need more in a bag! These are delicious, soft, chewy. I just want MORE!

I really wanted to try some German Pfeffernüsse cookies because I wanted to compare the cookie to the ones I bake. These were soft, not hard, and they did not taste stale at all. They were very well packaged thankfully because they were put in my mailbox. Initially I tasted anise, but they had a nice pepper "bite" at the finish. I prefer those with powdered sugar because the frosting flakes off these. As for money value, I think they are on the pricey side but I don't intend to subscribe or purchase more because I bake. They weren't too sugary sweet, which I also liked so that was a plus. Overall, we liked the cookies and they were good.

These are similar to the powdered sugar version we had in my family every Christmas. They were delicious and were gone in an hour!

I have been purchasing these cookies for years without any problems. I don’t know what happened with my last purchase. The cookies were hard as rocks, no powered sugar on them, had an off taste, and there were only 6 cookies in the bag. Was this from a few years ago batch? Very disappointing.
