A cute, concise delivery of the story of Bill Gates life.
A quick read! I love the artistic picture of Bill Gates on the front cover. His story is amazing and this quick read gives you most a quick look at what Bill and his buds did to create the home computer that we have today on our personal desks. I was beginning my work life punching the cards for student enrollment in Jr. College--the computer was a room and the cards were information to be stored in the giant computers, then. I went on to College and got my art degree so that I could teach arts and crafts to Junior High kids.About the time Bill was in junior high I was teaching on the 386. A computer toy that taught kids how to create art by following a formula, usually a Christmas tree or a message: Happy Birthday etc. Now, that bright little boy and his chums came up with Windows 95 and changed our world. I am so happy that he was born. I truly think God delivers to us individuals that we humans need for our advancement. This is a happy book of Bill's life up to the point where he marries and makes his millions and gives much of it away. I think reading his Biography might be even better, so I think I will get that to discover Bill's personal thoughts on his life. This is not a kid's book. It is a simple story of his life and his creative genius. You won't be sorry you bought it.

Great information
Written by a 3rd grader:Do you like biographies and computer education? Well, I recommend you read Who Is Bill Gates? From the “who was” series. The first reason, Is that It tells where he worked. So that you can learn what he worked as In that company and what he did a lot. He also worked at Apple. The second reason Is that If you like or love math, he also got In math 55 In Harvard. If you don’t know what math 55 Is or Harvard, math 55 Is very very difficult. More than half of the students drop that class. But Bill Gates didn’t. Also Harvard Is the hardest school In America. The third reason Is also, If you like being a manager at a company he also worked for Apple like we already mentioned. Bill Gates' wife also worked for Apple too. As you can see, Who Was Bill Gates Is a perfect fit for you to read.

Good reading. Recommended for teens and adult.
Bill Gates' life and vision for the future is an inspiration to us all. It's never easy to read a biography, but in the case of this book, good text and simple graphics made it easy for reading, and I like it. I personally would recommend this for all those who wish to know about the person and his contributions. Teens and adult reading.

My 11 year old son is not a big reader (unless it's something on the internet or a computer game!) I have bought him a few of these books for school assignments, and he likes them. It's very nice when he can quote some interesting fact from the book.
